Bicyclist killed near Dublin

I just watched a man bicycle across a busy street without looking. He had a child in the back, and he was busy yapping on his cell phone. He never looked left or right and never paid attention to the traffic. I guess his cell phone conversation was more important to him that his and his child's lives. He was lucky this time that no car had struck him. I don't know about next time.  (Saturday Nov 7 | post #12)

Bicyclist killed near Dublin

Because bicyclists have to share the road with cars, let's have the state issue bicyclist's licenses just like driver's licenses. Bicyclists who drive on the wrong side of the road and run through red lights should be fined. Bicyclists who drive while intoxicated should be fined and have their licenses revoked. The state can collect license fees to help its budget problems. Some of the fees and the fines can go towards creating more bicycle lanes, make existing one safer, and educating drivers about bicyclists.  (Aug 9, 2009 | post #9)
