Redding "Bodies Revealed" an Abomination

This question alone makes us look ignorant and stupid. People, this is what the human body looks like on the inside. Nothing to be afraid of. It is called science. If you are so concerned about legal issues, lets have an American exhibit using the authorization letters signed by the individuals on display. Can we all agree that we need education, actually more and continuing, rather that less and a one time deal... We are not the third world here.  (Tuesday Nov 24 | post #15)

Editor Statement

We recently swore in two new members to our city council here in Shasta Lake. During the FIRST meeting, on the agenda was a grant application for $250,000. Needing a matching 'investment' of 10%, the two new members voted down the grant! Unbelievable! With the absence of the Hon. Farr, the application was D.O.A. As the chairperson of the Parks and Rec Citizen Advisory Commish it's like a nail in the coffin of whats left of anything resembling Parks and Rec...followed closely by Art, Culture, and frankly most basic services are being outsourced to Redding! If I wanted that I'd move to freakin Redding and pay my sales taxes there... pay the school bond there, as well as a PARKS bond, business taxes for law enforcement... makes me want to pull out my hair! Wake up people! You voted these people in, you asked for a change. In my opinion, this City is circling the drain. My husband and I moved here and bought into this beautiful area by purchasing a home here, by shopping at the local grocery store, by operating a small business on the boulevard, the list goes on and on. My point is what do we get back for our investment? Shrinking services, higher fees with little to no economic developement... the soul of this community needs to be nurtured and protected! Does anyone have ideas, please no jokes, I'd love to hear from you! We need civic engagement, is anyone willing to make a committment to the future soul of this community? Let me know... www.thegalleryatshastalake.com
