I applaud Nick Guccione for his efforts. I really do. This makes me so sad that this ban fell short. It should have been passed and I hope that eventually, cities will wake up and do it. It disgusts me that these puppy mills are allowed to operate. And this Sheila Short doesn't have a clue if she thinks it is an owner problem. Oh yes, there are many irresponsible owners out there. No question about that. BUT! These "breeders " are a serious problem. They don't care about the animals' welfare. They are out to make a fast buck and nothing more. Sheila, if you support these low-life people, then you are just as low as they are. Please everyone... support Prop B in November!! Urflckedup, EXACTLY! I've been saying that for so long and am still waiting for people to listen. :( I will be voting Nov4. Hoping everyone will. I just don't understand how these things can happen anyway... there ARE animal cruelty laws in place and the conditions these animals are in clearly violates them so I don't get why additional laws are needed but if that's what it takes, I'm all for it. APA Busy Reuniting Fireworks Frightened Dogs With Owners
I'm happy that they are working to help get these dogs back to their homes. I have 2 chihuahuas who don't have much trouble with the noise. My cat, however, gets freaked out so the part of the story that says fireworks don't bother cats is incorrect. I really don't advocate the use of drugs. Some situations may be severe enough that warrant it but honestly, it is better to work with the dogs through training and desensitizing. (Jul 6, 2010 | post #4)

Calls For Boycott Of BP May Be Hurting Wrong People
Spill or no spill, I wouldn't buy from BP regardless. Can't stand the company on many levels... the spill is just one more reason. It is unfortunate for the operators of these stations but it is the bigger picture here. They need to operate under another corporation. That's all there is to it. Can't do that? Well, I'm sorry but that's just the way it is. And keep in mind, it isn't just BP stations that are being banned... it is ANY station that uses BP oil. (Jul 1, 2010 | post #2)
