No-Wake Law on Echo Lake Making Waves
I received a no-wake ticket out there this summer. I fish echo lake 3 times a week through the whole summer. I fish with a buddy in a 15ft fiberglass boat with a 1967 40hp engine. In other words it tops out at about 9 miles per hour. As I sat there receiving my ticket (for which the ranger said was a $140 fine) COUNTLESS wakeboard boats blasted by. I went to see the judge and it was $25. I laughed!!! Do FWP think a $25 fine for people with $60,000 wakeboard boats DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY TO PRODUCE BIG WAKE will phase them? I never knew about the wakeboarding school out there. I've always wondered how that place turned into wakeboard central. thanks for listening to my little banter. whew. (Sep 16, 2007 | post #3)
