I could not agree more. This is going to get swept under the rug because the victum is male! It seems to me that the double standard needs to end. She needs to pay for this, physically and monetarily. Last week it was older women sexaully assaulting young boys and I ask in terms of humilation is this any different to this victum. On a serious note: Cut us a break!!! The outhouse is older than the board of health. The churches still have them. Release these men and grandfather them a permit. These people have a religious belief that runs deeper and more honorable then most other religions and they are going to jail for it. You see running water is needed for plumbing and that requires electric which is against their religious convictions. Just like the Jewish can’t eat pork, many can’t drink alcohol and the Catholics eat no meat at certain times on the Christian calendar, would we lock them up?? I know not! I had a very rare but fortunate opportunity to attend and help with an Amish Barn Raising, this is one of the most outreaching acts of kindness and No One gets paid for it. At dawn, we assemble and work in teams to make the structure framed and by dusk it is all finished including the shingles. All the women and children come at the end of the day with dinner for everyone and we all sit, pray and eat together. Finally the owner of the new barn thanks the crowd and the barn is blessed. I am sorry that I have a comment account with some of the useless, mindless idiots that post here. Do you not think that $15,000 is worth it to save your freaking live?? These people have more risk and live into the eye of life and death many hours of many days. The units’ set-up, stocked and staffed costs millions of dollars. They are live on sight depending on the department 24 on 24 off and some are worse. Some days they are on said by several times a day, which means they are suited up in the chopper and it is running sitting on the tarmac ready to go. Then they may go or be called down off of ready status. That sound life an awesome life to you? I thank god for the dedicated individuals that do the MediEvac job. I have seen this program from both sides and anyone that has every had a loved one at deaths door and knows that the seconds this team completed the difference of many years of someone life. Remember the fantastic and "World Class" trauma teams have nothing to work with is the men and women of the MediEvac and EMS services, Fire Rescue and Law Enforcement teams do not do theirs. In some years of posting I have seen some dumb topics and even dumber replies but this has to be the dumbest. #1 Amish have a strong religious belief and are will to go to jail for it! -------- I don't think we can say that #2 the outhouses are predating the board of health and sewer regulations #3 the outhouses puts no toxic chemicals or toxins out - they are treated with Lime a nature mineral to speed decomposing -- not like some idiot said in one of the replies #4 The Amish do not believe in pesticides that are not natural and wholesome #5 this is the biggest waste of tax payers’ dollars ---- does the court really have jurisdiction on a man's religious beliefs??? - I shudder to think so #6 if you have ever had the opportunity to attend an Amish barn raising to replace burned out structure or add on a new one. This is a sight to see and it is God's work in awl and awesome wonder. Every person from every community and every gender and age has a part to play in the success of one single event completed in one single day. Cut us a break! This is a legitimate business with license to operate. Does the church pay attention to how many priests frequent Adult Shops?? I think not? Anyone who can teach women how to enjoy sex more or more interested in it, or perhaps be better in bed could help all of us men a lot!!! Now with no premeditation we remove the 1st degree murder and this removes the death penalty. Now we have 3rd degree murder with is a homicide during the course of, as a part of another felony criminal act. But the other crime was planned, it was planned to beat someone senseless and that was the plan so if that resulted in homicide we now have premeditation back right?? Sounds like 1st degree murder and a death penalty but since the DA said "No" perhaps he needs a career change!! These boys deserve to die like the poor Quinn victim did. As pleasant as it sounds to think they will raped anally hourly for the first few months and beaten daily that is not good enough for me. These boys need to die for what they did to this victim, his poor family and all the rest of the Kutztown community. How thinks of this stuff? Who cares if it has a moral value and is not as corrupt as most of the idols of today, WHO Cares!! They were books written to inspire, interest and value reading and in a fun readable way. If religion was to focal point all the better, maybe some on the children’s bible writers could use some lessons because his books were read and reread and read some more.
