Rocco, This is Chris Turpin, the pastor of Donaldson Baptist Church. This is my first time on Topix and I joined so that I could interact with your comment. Let me first say that I am thankful that you have listened to our broadcast. For others who may want to hear my preaching for themselves, the broadcast is on 104.9 on Sunday mornings from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. Second, let me say that I appreciate the fact that you would be concerned if I encouraged women to stay in a situation where they would be in danger. I don't know how much of the sermon you heard. However, I made sure that the congregation understood that I would never encourage a woman to stay in a place where she is in danger. Also, I told the congregation that if I were aware of such a situation then I would get involved personally. For Christian husbands who may read this, we are commanded in Ephesians 5:25 to love our wives as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her.
