I'm disappointed in Religion changing their own definition to suite the argument. I would hope that people would stress LOVE and HONESTY and TRUST and many things like that in a relationship. If you base it on just a Man and a Woman, it's bound to fail. No wonder divorce rates are only rising. People in church are obsessed with making sure it fits their definition rather than basing it off what is actually needed. I think the day religion can stop MAN and WOMAN relationships from having problems is the day they can't stick their noses in same sex marriages. (40 min ago | post #5517)
That has been my argument. Religion is pulling the power card, they are trying to step in a make sure they still have influence in the community. It will happen every so often and most times they realize they are losing influence and people by doing so. They are trying to become the NEW Government by reaching in peoples homes and not suggesting what is right or wrong, but TELLING what is right or wrong, even in your own house. After suicides, military families wait for letter that never comes
Why aren't we pointing fingers at the people who don't reach out to those who show signs of possible suicide. Why aren't we addressing the issue from the start, and demanding "Letters "?! We should be demanding stopping suicides rather than demanding action after. I agree President Obama should send out condolences, but anyone who makes it a major point in this conversation that he isn't sending out letters rather than preventing suicide from the start has a flawed process of thinking. Well if you mean support Obama for the next 7 years, I plan on it. Just as I will support ANYONE else who is in office. You have your right to complain constantly and do nothing, and I have my right to support whoever I would like and make this country great.
