Conservatives roar; GOP trembles
Sure, just have the current administration nationalize every business and declare to our creditors that the US is bankrupt and can't pay our creditors. Then let a bankruptcy judge declare that all we need to do is pay ten cents on the dollar and instead of a national debt of more than a trillion dollars we will only have to pay back a little more than ten billion. Hell, for the Democrats this is pocket change. (4 hrs ago | post #364)
Conservatives roar; GOP trembles
I do believe that this thread has lost its way. It began with the contention that the GOP was being fractured by the disagreements between the Conservative faction and the current leadership of the Republican party and has degenerated in to a name calling cesspool. (23 hrs ago | post #358)

Hey Topix staff, censor, or whatever you're called. Why isn't there a thread for commentary attached to every story run in the Pioneer Press? Enquiring minds would like to know the reason for not having commentary threads on every story. (Wednesday Nov 25 | post #336)

What peace are you talking about? I see absoluely no evidence that concerts of any kind bring peace to any part of the planet. (Wednesday Nov 25 | post #334)
Vikings laud safety Madieu Williams for his $2 million donation...
C'mon, name all of them. You mean people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet or are you complaining about criminals like Tom Petters, Bernie Madoff and Dennis Hecker. We want the names of "all the wealthy people" who just want more and more. This an article about someone doing good and you interject BS like that to the discussion. (Tuesday Nov 24 | post #11)
More anti-gay, religious-motivated crimes reported
I have no dog in the arguement about whether or not homosexuality is a sin or not. I do disagree with your contention that most wars are based on religious differences. That was more than likely very true during the Crusades but not in recent history. (Monday Nov 23 | post #87)
Former starter Jackson gets some rare playing time for Vikings
What are you agreeing with? That the Vikings would be 8-2 with TJ as the starter or that Weber makes TJ look like Joe Montana? In your other post you said TJ would never be a starter in the NFl. Lord help us if Brett Favre gets injured cause that would end the year for the Vikings. (Monday Nov 23 | post #68)

Here are three that I would not hesitate to take over your vaunted Tarvaris. Schaub - Houston, Flacco - Baltimore and the old man Warner. (Monday Nov 23 | post #65)

Minnesota Vikings owner Wilf goes straight to legislators
Vikings play 8 regular season games at the Dome. Figure a sell out for every game = 64,000 per game x 8 = 512,000 fans. Twins played 81 regular season games at the Dome and drew what, a little more than 2 million fans. (Monday Nov 23 | post #83)
Favre breaks NFL record for 4-TD games as Minnesota Vikings rou...
I'll take the 22 for 25 with four touchdowns in less than three quarters any day. If you have to throw that many times all it means is that Rodgers has the opportunity to be sacked that many more times. (Sunday Nov 22 | post #58)

Could you be any more stupid? Steelers=Washed up? I'm a Viking fan, but that is ridiculous. (Sunday Nov 22 | post #57)

Gophers' 12-0 loss to Iowa may have sealed Brewster's fate
They"? Who do think they are? You, me and a few hundred thousand Minnesota taxpayers spent $281,000,000 on a stadium for a football team that hasn't won a trophy game or a border battle for ages. That money would have been better spent on a down payment for a Viking stadium. (Sunday Nov 22 | post #59)
