It's about control

Mary, Why not just line them all up, shoot them and bury them in a mass grave? Sounds like something that was done once not that long ago by someoone who sounded a lot like you. Because these people are doing something [worshipping differently, talking differently, smoking] you want them out of the way.  (May 1, 2008 | post #206)

Bank teller foils attempted armed robbery in Minneapolis

For Snap Snap and St Paul Mom; This person risked their life for nothing but money. The credit union has insurance for these situations. If the person been killed while "foiling " this crime, you both would be castigating him/her instead of offering gratuitous praise.  (May 1, 2008 | post #4)

First of all; There is no such thing as a Native American. Everyone in the country is descended from an immigrant if you are able to trace their lineage back far enough. Secondly; If you considers Latinos to be of Spanish heritage then they, also, would not be native to the American continent. Thirdly; Newcomers? The Vikings were in Minnesota before Columbus got lost and beached his ships and thought he was in India. Therefore the so-called native people were called Indians by the Spanish and Portuguese. As for the rest of your tired rant; To the victor comes the spoils. We will win.  (May 1, 2008 | post #48)

Beached boat gets heave-ho from back yard

Even when you try to one up someone, you don't quite get it right. The word you were so eloquently looking for is "rassle" , and we don't rassle pigs, we rassle "hogs". Why don't you go looking for the "enlightened crowd" who want to be able to raise chikens in their back yards in Saint Paul? It might keep you busy enough to stay off this forum board.  (May 1, 2008 | post #59)

The blessings of liberalism

Its hard to believe you actually buy into the gop propaganda. Its not bush's fault he ruined the economy. Its not bush's fault he ordered innocent men women and children to be tortured to death. Its not bush's fault he is shipping all our jobs to China. Its not bush's fault for his actions. How can you believe that anybody else should take responsibility for Bush's actions? Clearly the Iraq war is bush's puppy. He bought it. He lied to the American people and congress to get us to pay for it. It costs hundreds of billions of dollars and we get nothing for it. You can't withdraw hundreds of billions of dollars from an economy and expect it to remain viable. Don Joe: I have followed this thread for days. I have read your posts and finally decided I had to respond to this one. 1.How did President Bush ruin the economy? 2.Show me verifiable, factual instances of President Bush ordering innocent men, women and children being tortured to death. 3.How did President Bush ship our jobs to China? 4. What actions of the President are you referring to? 5. Cite verifiable, factual instances where the President lied to the country to get us to go to war with Iraq? If you are honest you will have to admit that prior to President Bush taking office every intelligence report gathered by the previous administration said that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. These reports were updated right up to the time when President Bush took office. So your contention that he lied is baseless and untrue.  (Apr 30, 2008 | post #220)

On Rev. Wright, and context

Lewis and Fully Awake, Your posts are just more proof that what Joe is saying is true. The conspiracy theorists and more of the hate-America crowd are very much alive and well here in Minnesota. Good luck.  (Apr 30, 2008 | post #4)

Is 'no' a good parent's only answer to 'GTA'?

Not so, Olson and Kutner believe. According to their research, violence among teens has declined in recent years as violence in video games, and access to such games, has increased. "If games like 'Grand Theft Auto' affected kids in a broad way, we'd have blood in the streets and Uzis everywhere," Olson said. "It's just common sense." I think that there already is blood in the streets and Uzis everywhere and it really doesn't have anything to do with GTA IV. It has to do with gangs and their wars to hold on to their drug turf. Legalize drugs, sell them in drugstores. Take the profit out of the drug trade for gangs and you take the gangs out.  (Apr 29, 2008 | post #4)

Gift to school forces debate over naming rights sales

Typical of the mind set of the left. They would rather raise taxes on everyone than allow a "rich" person to have their name on a gym wall or on a seat in the auditorium. This seems like a very good way to raise funds and the powers that be are trying to find a way to say no.  (Apr 29, 2008 | post #2)

Sharpton vows to 'close this city' after officer acquittals

Sometimes it is better if you actually know what you are talking about. There was no jury involved. This case was decided by a judge.  (Apr 27, 2008 | post #10)

Souvenir swords get two expelled

Are you suggesting that the two students who bought the replica swords had the intent to commit mayhem on their fellow travelers? Or are you just one more kid whose sense of personal responsibility has been abrogated to the "higher authority" of the "administrato rs?  (Apr 25, 2008 | post #212)

Souvenir swords get two expelled

I beg to differ with you. It is not the "law and order" types who have brought us this ridiculous policy. It is the politically correct types who are so afraid of offending any minority group, no matter how fringe they may be, that have brought us to this situation. If the principals and the school staff, supported by the school boards, would take a page from days gone by and actually go out into the halls and supervise occassionally, we would see at lot less of the "stuff" that goes on in schools today.  (Apr 24, 2008 | post #29)
