High court turns down Ga. death row inmate
Watch a few of those Forensic Shows. I don't mean CSI, I mean reality ones like on TruTV. Eyewitness testimony is the most unreliable. If I were on a jury, I wouldn't convict without decent forensic evidence. (Yesterday | post #6)

McCain says Obama didn't call Palin a pig
Not only did he get mad, when he was asked about it on the View he said it was true! (Wednesday Sep 17 | post #13)
Saturday Night Live Bares Extreme Liberalism For All
Wow, really just Wow. I can't believe the blatant conservatism of Fox News. After all, SNL is a comedy show and satiric. Fox News purports to be "fair and balanced." (Sep 13, 2008 | post #13)
Survivors beg for help as Ike hits Texas
Let's leave the realm of political correctness for a short time. These people were complete idiots. In nature, natural selection would weed them out. Now they are crying for help. How about being responsible for your own actions, as would happen in nature? We now return to political correctness. (Sep 13, 2008 | post #25)
Obama: Tax Cuts for the Middle Class
In fact McCain would decrease taxes for the wealthy. That certainly isn't better. (Sep 11, 2008 | post #35)

Obama: Steer clear of Palin's daughter
Taking the high road! Not like those who lie about "infanticide. " However, remember what taking the high road did for Kerry. Want to win? Hit and hit hard. If anything similar happened to Obama the GOP would be all over it. (Sep 1, 2008 | post #209)
Scholars question Palin credentials
14 years at the state and federal level vs. 2 years overseeing a state with only 683,000 people. There are 16 cities with more population than that. And before that, mayor of a VILLAGE of 9000. Absolutely no experience on the national level or international level. Uh huh. If she's such a great choice, what about the new story just posted about a "Bushie" ? I think this goes to show: McCain is indeed senile. (Aug 30, 2008 | post #7)
Was McCain right in picking Palin as his VP?
McCain just lost. The only women he was "pandering " to ... Hillary women, won't vote for this woman. Also, where are her qualifications? Governor for 18 months of a state with the population of the 17th largest CITY in the US? And before that, mayor of a town of 9000? The experience angle just went against McCain, because of his age. No longer is Obama inexperienced. He has 14 years in state and federal politics. WIth a 72 year old candidate, if people don't wonder what would happen if anything happened to them, they are pretty stupid. (Aug 29, 2008 | post #55)
Bill Moyers: America, the Empire of Consumption
ANDREW BACEVICH: Well, I think the clearest statement of what I value is found in the preamble to the Constitution. There is nothing in the preamble to the Constitution which defines the purpose of the United States of America as remaking the world in our image, which I view as a fool's errand. There is nothing in the preamble of the Constitution that ever imagined that we would embark upon an effort, as President Bush has defined it, to transform the Greater Middle East. This region of the world that incorporates something in order of 1.4 billion people. I believe that the framers of the Constitution were primarily concerned with focusing on the way we live here, the way we order our affairs. To try to ensure that as individuals, we can have an opportunity to pursue our, perhaps, differing definitions of freedom, but also so that, as a community, we could live together in some kind of harmony. And that future generations would also be able to share in those same opportunities. The big problem, it seems to me, with the current crisis in American foreign policy, is that unless we do change our ways, the likelihood that our children, our grandchildren, the next generation is going to enjoy the opportunities that we've had, is very slight, because we're squandering our power. We are squandering our wealth. In many respects, to the extent that we persist in our imperial delusions, we're also going to squander our freedom because imperial policies, which end up enhancing the authority of the imperial president, also end up providing imperial presidents with an opportunity to compromise freedom even here at home. And we've seen that since 9/11. (Aug 16, 2008 | post #1)
Russia: Poland risks attack due to U.S. missiles
While I think under normal circumstances the U.S. would probably be able to "take" Russia, it should be noted that US forces are currently all in the Middle East, and exhausted as well. Additionally, Poland has nothing in the way of a army or air force (my wife is from Poland). (Aug 15, 2008 | post #2)
