Thanks! I will do that. I figured out the error. They didnt credit us for his last wk of sales but charged us for the load. I sent an email letting them know their error. We are so ready to be done!  (Jan 29, 2013 | post #2902)

Has anyone attempted to sue S-L? We gave our 60days notice. Our last day was Dec 21st. We had a balance due of about $450 on last settlement report. Now today we get a letter saying that we owe over $5,000!!!!! WHAT THE HECK!!???? We have had 2 potential buyers (hopefully the 2nd will close the deal) we even informed the proper people handling everything of what to sell the route for in order to avoid owing... Have sent and email to 3 ppl and left a voice mail. SOOOOO BOILING HOT RIGHT NOW!!!!  (Jan 28, 2013 | post #2900)

Selling it but may just walk away cause we just cant afford to keep on like this... The route was over valued when we purchased it (not knowing) Then find out it really only does about $2000 less a week than they valued. We gave our 60day notice like required in the contract but if we are going to end up owing anyways, no need to drag it out any longer...  (Nov 23, 2012 | post #2771)

We are getting a measly $300 check this week...Not sure what to do. We dont even have a route pmt coming out yet! He has been with Lance for over 9 years, so we didnt know that there was going to be this much trouble when it switched to IBO. We are seriously reconsidering this business venture at this time  (Jun 5, 2012 | post #2333)

Dont be in a hurry. when they transitioned here in Eastern NC they let all the Lance ppl go except 2. My husband had worked for the company for 9 years. He was unemployed for 5wks before they called him back after the outsider they had hired didnt work out. Dont thing you are 'safe', no one is  (May 25, 2012 | post #2283)

YES! This happened to us! His 2nd or 3rd week as and IBO he got a $7k check! We set over half aside cause we knew we would have to pay it back. They told us we only had to pay 3k back, so i paid lots of bills off and got ahead on some things, then come to find out the following week (when we didnt get a ck) we found that we were being charged for the other half of his beginning inventory. We are on week # FIVE of no check and will go one more week. If they had told us we could have deposited MORE. Our DM was informed but he didnt bother to pass that info on to us, even acted oblivious when we asked why we didnt get a ck. Thank goodness for my Unemployment check coming in. My husband has SOLD OUT every week so expect to go longer than a week or two unless you only keep out what you HAVE to have to get by, in order to ensure that you dont get stuck like we did! By the way, the SL lady told me that the reason this happens is because the DM doesnt process the transition correctly  (May 25, 2012 | post #2282)

Having a good accountant is important! I am an accountant myself and am handling all the business side of things for my husband. Our DM is not as helpful as yours, we have to call corporate to get any answers  (May 23, 2012 | post #2269)
