Carmel City Council asked to endorse 'wholesome' environment

Victorias Secret is out to make money for their investors. If it sells, their stores carry and display it. If no one buys it, they will quit carrying it or they will go out of business! What is so difficult about that concept?  (Mar 19, 2008 | post #82)

Keystone truck limit idea tweaked

In your example, they will speed up and try to make it through before they get caught- at 126th Street they can blow through just two more stoplights and they are "home free" on 31. I think the day you see a trucker turn around on Keystone because they failed to see the "no thru trucks" sign is the day we'll all see pigs fly.  (Mar 14, 2008 | post #21)

They speed and they run lights! Why would they worry about "turning around and going back??" They aren't third graders anymore!  (Mar 14, 2008 | post #18)

Carmel City Council asked to endorse 'wholesome' environment

Rider said. "You have to be careful legislating morality." Is that REALLY what the city needs to do??? Ms. Baxter needs to spend more time parenting her kids and help them set their own moral compasses..  (Mar 14, 2008 | post #1)

Chamber steps up political involvement

Nope, I just didn't want to let Main Street down. As you recall, they predicted you would be called a "shill" by Marnin. I just couldn't help myself. As one you feel is incapable of original thought, I will have to say I am flattered that you think you pay attention to my "lackluster " posts for the past year. If I repeat anything in my posts, it is my material, not your's and not Marnin's. Just because several people on these boards are of like minds, don't mean we are all part of a "gang" or a "conspiracy. " That is simply not the truth. Nice try trying to discredit me, if you think you did, then good for you- go get a gold star...  (Mar 11, 2008 | post #56)

You have to be kidding, "Your kidding!!" Why would we want to give the Mayor absolute control over the pursestrings?? he manages to pilfer just fine with the current arrangement.  (Mar 10, 2008 | post #33)

Tax increment financing: Business as usual?

Money is money and tax money come from ALL of us. I had heard plenty of whining about Carmel "subsidizing " Marion County, yet its OK for the REST OF THE STATE to "subsidize " the replacement of our tax monies diverted by TIFs so our schools won't miss their due These TIFs are shell games at their finest.  (Feb 26, 2008 | post #69)
