Pro golfer and former Danbury resident Ken Green to lose leg
I first met Ken when i was a kid working in a bag room of a local private course. I wasn't sure what to expect because the press always gave him a bad rap. After his round we cleaned his clubs and sent them back outside. Well he came in the bag room and personally thanked each of us for cleaning his "weapons " as he called them. He then gave each of us $5.00 and sleeve of balls and his autograph. He talked with us for about 15min and gave us some golf tips. I'll never forget what a truly nice guys he was. Danbury 18-year-old dies in accidental shooting
It amazes me how careless people are with fire arms. I go to the shooting range quite a bit and some times it is quite scary watching how careless some people are with their guns. Guns don't come with an eraser, any mistake you make with a gun will be a permanent one. I feel bad for his family. 18 is far to young to leave this earth. (May 18, 2009 | post #1)
