video of smoke going off on officals
First of all, I was very disappointed with Tony's behavior at the USAC event. Running donw there and protesting is one thing, but laying hands on officials is a no-no. However, this video probably would never have ever been shown had it not been for Channel 13, WTHR in Indy who takes every opportunity to bash Tony or show him in a negative light. You see, it was their photographer he punched back in 2002 after the Brickyard, and they've never forgotten. Secondly, Tony's "apology " (which I think was not entirely sincere) was given via another Indy TV station, WRTV, which whom Tony has a love affair. Their sport director, Dave Furst, has his nose so far up Tony's butt it isn't funny. They too lack any credible impartiality. Third, I did think it was interesting last night on WindTunnel when Dave Despain asked Robin Miller why most media outlets weren't mentioning the USAC incident, that Miller said everyone that understands USAC knows and understands why Tony did what he did. Does that make it right? No, but perhaps it isn't uncommon behavior in USAC. (Jul 28, 2008 | post #35)
Jr.'s Comments on Brickyard Tires are very interesting
Everytime they test at IMS there is early tire wear because virtually no cars run on the track to get rubber on it consistently and it is so abrasive. It has always been like this. The pproblem was that in previous years, after practices and qualifying the track rubbers up. For whatever reason, this year, the tires just dusted up and did not take to the track. So, I wouldn't plce the blame on the drivers who tested. But NASCAR and Goodyear need to reevaluate the COT and if wider tires are needed, they should design them. (Jul 28, 2008 | post #7)
Stewart slides back to 23rd for worst Indy effort
Well, at least Zippy didn't have to stay behind to explain why Tony wasn't going to talk. That was a pitiful effort. (Jul 28, 2008 | post #1)
Might be more impressive if it was gramatically correct -- "formerly knowN as..." Not that the proper use of the English language means much to folks anymore. (Jul 24, 2008 | post #2960)
Welland Tribune - Stewart Superstitious
Yeah, but sadly, that wouldn't take much. (Jul 24, 2008 | post #4)
Hehe I LOVE it. Of course, if things don't go well for Smoke, I think Dale Jarrett will have enough sense not to go to him or at the very least, not ask a stupid question. Would not have been able to say that about Rusty. (Jul 24, 2008 | post #2942)
Here's a funny little article about what your favorite driver says about you (although, I think some of us could have written a better one). Also on the page some cool links about activities for the Brickyard: http://www.indy.co m/posts/10139 (Jul 24, 2008 | post #1)
HADDOCK: Altercations show inequalities in sports
What the heck does this have to do with Tony Stewart and why is it on his forum? Isn't there enough junk here? (Jul 24, 2008 | post #4)
Tony Stewart, John Andretti brighten day for Riley Hospital pat...
I wondered if Tony was doing any of these charity things this year since I had not seen any mention of it. Glad he hasn't abandoned his Indiana folk, although the more he gets involved with his North Carolina-based team, the less we'll see of him in Indiana. (Jul 24, 2008 | post #1)
Mike Hembree: Zipadelli eyes a new road
Iagree. It will be interesting to see how well Zippy does next year. (Jul 23, 2008 | post #1)
Stewart will race at I-55 Speedway
Is this still happening tonight? Gee, you'd think the M&Ms driver would have been invited.... (Jul 23, 2008 | post #1)
Welland Tribune - Stewart Superstitious
You'd think he might wonder if he made the right decision about leaving JGR. (Jul 23, 2008 | post #1)
Press Conference Now Scheduled
What a bunch of wimps those reporters were! All of them are too cozy with the establishment to ask any really tough questions. The ones that were sort of probing, Tony skipped right over and no one pressed him. Like what was wrong with him (his illness) and GM's role. Nope, ain't none of those folks gonna be getting any Pulitzers any time soon. (Jul 10, 2008 | post #47)

Joe Gibbs Racing - Joe Gibbs Racing and Tony Stewart to Part Wa...
Yeah, leaving the most competitive team in Cup (not to mention his "brother " Zippy) so he can have that bowtie decal on his hood. I sincerely hope he is not that stupid and is doing it for deeper reasons. (Jul 9, 2008 | post #5)
