IS DON COOKSEY ATTORNEY HONEST?

How do you figure TEX GUY is this person? Did Cooksey's friend tell you this?  (Saturday | post #418)

WB, I am pretty sure you will not get confirmation on your findings. The things you stated were were kind of personal and it would not be smart of her to comment on the truth or falseness of them in a public forum that may be able to be used against her son. If you are confident in your findings then you should be satisfied in that fact. But any attorney will tell you don't admit to anything. You will have to follow the case to know the final outcome I'm sure.  (Saturday Nov 21 | post #405)

Does Lynn LaRowe only report negative news?

Some people express themselves in different ways and sometimes things that are said on this site read differently than if it was said verbally. I don't feel that there was hatred or anger spewed. It was simply two people that have different views on a subject. Each was expressing their view and one took offense of the others views. Everyone is entitled to their own personal view of a person or situation. That is our God given right. Thou the Government is trying to take it from us. Just as Ms La Rowe prints her opinion of what she sees in the Courts. Everyone is bias, and someone in the same room may feel differently, especially if they are related to the victim or the the accused.  (Saturday Nov 21 | post #92)

Now WB that is not fair. You wanted me to provide you with my information and back it up, but you are asked to simply provide a link and you will not. Seems a little one way don't it?  (Friday Nov 20 | post #87)

Wasn't trying to convince anything.. your the one that assumed I either worked for him or something like that, I was going along with your muse. I have never spoke of how he wronged me, I have only spoke of how he wronged other people. And that I had knowledge of it. I have not forgotten what I have said, and all I have said can be backed up in a Court of Law. I am not so stupid to allow a poster to try to push me into slandering or making accusations I cannot back up. And I do not have to prove anything to you, you are neither an attorney or DA or State Investigator. So they are the only ones I would have to prove anything to. You are out of your league on this one WB. There are more players in this game to consider. Thats all you need to know.  (Thursday Nov 19 | post #75)

IS DON COOKSEY ATTORNEY HONEST?

As for my association to Cooksey, Lets just say I used to be a friend and he has represented me in the past. (if thats what he called it) The wrong-doing that I knew about was reported and evidence turned over to the State of Texas and State Bar. But as we all know the wheels of Justice move slowly. The investigations are (or were) still pending. But now that he has given up his license its possible alot of the claims from other clients will be swept under the rug. Seeing how many of his clients cant afford to hire another attorney to sue an attorney.  (Thursday Nov 19 | post #399)

This "weakness " has been going on for several years. It is not something that just popped up overnight. This was before his claims of his employees stealing from him. He used them to cover his own wrong-doings. I was around the office alot and heard the girls complain about how he knew it was payday or that there was a bill due and would still take money out of the bank and not tell anyone, or if a client came in and payed he would take the money and not let them put it in the bank to cover bills and payments. Kind of hard to run a business and keep things in order when the owner is doing everything to shut it down. Then when the electric or phones are close to being shut off he wants to know where all the money went! He had it! The employees had to find the money to pay filing fees for some clients and that delayed the filing because the money the client paid was gone. This money was supposed to go into a seperate account to be used to pay expenses for the clients case.  (Thursday Nov 19 | post #394)

No I am not speaking of revenge, I am speaking of the suits in Court. Like you previously said, that is there only recourse now as that he is no longer an attorney and the grievances filed with the Bar will no longer affect him because he is not an attorney anymore. So any grievances that were in the process or filed in the future are quashed because they have no authority over him anymore. The only remedy left is thru criminal and civil courts. As for if he wronged me? He has wronged alot of people.. myself included. How is not important but it will be dealt with in the Court system. I am not looking to be an "avenger ", I simply want everyone to know their options and that they better get in there fast and do it because by the time everyone gets a piece of him in Court there may not be any money left to recoup what is owed to them.  (Thursday Nov 19 | post #393)

Yes, I can have my opinion about this, but as far as what to happen to him? Let's ask all the people he took money from and left hangin in Court. They may have something to say about that.  (Wednesday Nov 18 | post #389)

All my past experience with Miller has shown he is a compassionate and understanding man.. Remember he is the one that allowed Cooksey to turn himself in on his own instead of arresting him in Court! I feel if Miller knew he would have addressed his clients and no Judge likes to appear as an idiot and not know whats going on. His Clerk has been with him for years and I dont feel that this unprofessional conduct would have happened in his office.  (Wednesday Nov 18 | post #386)

WB, if you believe that you are not as good at investigating as I thought. That was a very unprofessional and "chicken sh*t" way of ending the practice. Just like companies that close the doors overnight.. there is more to this. He knew that his license was on the line, if Peggy filed a complaint imagine how many others have done the same! He gave up his license before the state took it because he is on judicial probation and all it took was one more screw up and he would lose it forever! Looks better to the public to come up with a bullsh*t reason to do it on his own before the State does it for him.  (Wednesday Nov 18 | post #385)
