Maybe it's not that so many people here hate America, but hate the fact that America feels it can decide what every other can country can and can not do. Anything that has the American (oil) interest at hand will be supported 100% at all cost, and anything that comes between it is a threat. Maybe instead of allways thinking that the US is in the right, you should examine things more closely and figure out that most people don't like America, not because of the "freedoms ", but because of all the double standards they try to inpose on the rest of the world. When are the rest of you Americans going to take off the blinders? This American support of Georgia has nothing to do with defending democracy, it has everything to do with American lobbyist being afraid that there lottery tickets in the BP pipeline which runs through South Ossetia may now be null and void. If Russia attacked Poland or even the Ukraine, then maybe an argument could be made about Russia wanting to get back its satellite countries and rebuild the USSR. There were 13 countries that formed after the collapse of the USSR, and your entire argument is based on two separatist regions? Most of you just spill out the same BS that CNN dishes out every night, and it’s sad when so many people around the world realize that our government is so screwed up, because they can come here and read post from idiots that actually support them. Further more, you want to put someone else in the white house that isn’t going to be any better and might actually start conflict with a country who IS going to fight back and not surrender to remote controlled planes like the Iraqis did. Why don’t you Americans have the balls to admit that this has nothing to do with Big Bad Russia being a bully, but more with the US trying to protect its oil interests, even at the cost OF MORE American lives? My friend, get your facts stright. Russia did not want any part of South Ossetia. We did not encourge them to revolt. South Osstia aquired their independence the same time Georiga did (91 USSR Collapsed). But I see you like your media and politicians still have no answer for the American Citizens that returned from South Ossetia with the real news. Instead you still act like geogia is so innocent and the victum here. As for your anology about a six year old fight Lennox Lewis, I'm sure Lewis could only take getting hit in the balls by a six year old so much before he took a plastic bat to that six year olds head. Let me ask your same question a little differently. If Canada started wiping out all Americans living in a region that was actually not a part of Canada but bordered both countries, what would the US do? After all the US has bombed countires for simply blowing up their embassies which probably employ 50 americans in each location. Do you not think that they would attack Canada if an entire region with thousands of Americans were living in it? You may want to believe CNN's hype of this being a Russian aggression, but the fact remains that Russia had given Georgia fair warning about any type of military actions against South Osettia, which ofcourse they did not respect thinking they had US support. I just cant seem to understand why so many of you protect a country like Georgia who is trully responsible for killing innocent people? Also, two questions if you can answer please, if you have freedom of press, why has your TV been showing places in South Ossetia that were bombed and destroyed by Georgians, as places in Georgia destroyed by Russia? Second, why did your media stop showing and or your politicians have no response to the Americans that returned from South Ossetia that comfirmed the attacks were started by the Geogians? Dumbass, look at the countries in NATO. The only two powers that would even stand a chance against Russia is the US and Great Britian. However, you don't see the british talking about Russian agression, do you. That's becase they know it's war they don't want. You think Russia has no allies? Strong powerful at that. If it was any other country, the US would have used military actions in trying to remove us from Georgia "The Real Criminals". Have you ever stop to think that Russia "threatens these countries because the US always wants to put some kind of millitary weapons on them that threaten Russias saftey? There are many countries that were part of the USSR that can no problems with Russia. McCain may lose the election, so let's convince or puppet country to attack South Osseita killing hundreds of Russians. We will promise them full support which of course never comes. But now you have McCain looking a little bit stronger than Obama because he has always hated Russia. Put enough fear in the American people of a possible "Soviet Union" comback and they are sure to vote for the man who was anti-Russian with foriegn policy experiance, unlike Obama. Let me guess, that Russia started protecting Russian citizens in South Ossetia? Why would Russia bomb South Ossetia and kill their own people? Isn't it more likely that Georgians started this mess by killing Russian first, and that's why you see bombs being drop on Georgian Territory now? Incase it's still not clear to you, South Ossetia is not and has not been a part of Georgia or Russia. If it was a part of Georgia, then why are the South Ossetian leaders meeting in Moscow trying to see if they will be absorbed by Russia? (Friday Aug 15 | post #472)
