Christmas tree permits available
Don't make the mistake I did..... I was cold and windy when I harvested the perfect tree. Once I got it home and in the warm house, the smell hit us. Some critters were using the tree as a message board. lol A trip to the car wash and some pine scent, made the tree usable. Sniff it before you cut it, and always mulch the old tree. The pine needles are slightly acidic and helps our desert soil. (14 hrs ago | post #4)

I am going the other way. I live in a small town, but want to get some irrigated acres out in the hills. I just see money as time, time saved or time spent. I do love our representative democracy and do not like the idea of the corporate citizen. I wish I was more optimistic, but I figure it was 'game over' once 'we the people', learned how to vote ourselves money. I hope things do change and we have choices other then the lesser of 2 evils. The past 3 presidental elections are not giving me any rays of hope. I hope in the decades that come, I wont get grumpier and have an optimistic world view like yours, Enjoy, from a someone with roots in Hays and Russel, KS, (15 hrs ago | post #8960)
"Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal".
We have 9 mm ball out the buttocks here. I figure it is becauces we have a very small police force, and they are shooters that have stuck with the .45 or went with the 'new fangled' .40. I love the sub-sonic 9mm for 'canned' reasons. (Give a hillbilly a gun, and he will always eat, give a hillbilly a lathe and gun, and he will eat whenever he wants. Got a great labradoodle receipe. lol). For the same reasons, I love the .45. A millitant I am not, I am just a reasoning citizen. Things seem askewed both politically and economically since JFK's term. I can't put a finger on it... but I smell a rat. Anyhoo, my expanded mantra is; invest in both tradeable and tactical tangibles, say 'hey' to a neighbour, get out of dept, buy land close to a headwater, grow a heirloom seeded garden, foster your sense of humour, write a letter to your grandma and above all, learn how to get yeast to work for you - both for beer and bread. With regards from the only hillbilly that surfs, and can sneak up on an ablone, (Yesterday | post #252)
Reid trying to ram through health care bill
I have always voted against the government solution. My first real vote was for Reagan's second term, then Bush Sr. and believe it or not, the crazy government contractor Perrot. lol My politics always resort to a history and heritage of resisting authourity. It does seem to be a very grey line between our two parties now, but I see it as a choice between fighting a beer gutted corp. paid mercenary or a government trained brother in arms..... An optimistic doomsayer here, I am just hoping for 'them' to make a grab for fuadalism instead of communism. 'We the people', turned fuadalism into a good thing, but the ex communists are still looking for a free ride. Take care and thanks for your time with NASA - 'cuase I love velcro, lol, and nano techs potential, (Yesterday | post #45)

OK Jr. Pick your data starting point. 10 years, too short 100 years naa,,,, I say around 400 years ago. The mini iceage that killed off grape vines in the British Isles. If it was not for that, we both would have to go to Bagdad for a good beer...lol Perspective is everyting, and your pollitical propaganda is that of the fascists. enjoy and start to think my young friend, (Yesterday | post #8956)

Yes, Americans allowed corps to have the same rights as citizens. Coprs have the same liberties as you and I. Here is the true rub, would you rather have profit based corps as your master, or elitiests, guilt ridden, disfuntional ex hall monitors as your master? I chose modern fuadalism over modern fascism. Plus, I have backed my decision with tradable and tactical tangibles and a very small farm instead of sod, for a back yard. (It always pays to hedge your bets.) You seem to be thinking, but also seem a tad bit naive. Youth is a good thing, it means you still have a flexible mind. Google brown shirts - in regards to ACORN, and google coporate citizen in regards to the industrial war complex. Above all, realize that almost every American voted for a president that either started the Patriot Act, or voted for the president that is keeping it. Some 'tards, called independants, did both. lol Anyhoo, plant a garden, say 'hey' to a neieghbour, write a letter to you grandma and get out of dept, (Yesterday | post #8953)

Bathin' is a good thing...... it just gets harder to wash both feet at the same time, over time..... And being married, means that I have to wear my fogged up glasses to find the shampoo bottle, that is grouped with a bunch of 'woman product' stuff. Appricot scrub does not work as shaving cream. It has a weak lather and dulls the razor. enjoy the carbs and evening all, (Yesterday | post #1184)

Senoir Bozo, I have seen people stop herion addiction and I have heard of people that have left the Scientology cult.... You can leave the false cult of the warmies and their fascist bank rollers. You can do it, but please don't turn into a Jesus or Alah freak. with agnostic and reasonable thoughts, (Yesterday | post #8948)
If he can pass it, he will know more about the Constitution and American history then any high school graduate. I hope your kids are bilingual, 'cuase kids with knowledge of multiple languages do better in math and science. enjoy and good luck, (Yesterday | post #93)
Understand your passion, but your assumption about death row is wrong. Your perception comes from too much Hollywood and TV. Prison stats and death row stats are are the inverse of the civilian population.... Draw your own conclusions.... TV bad and enjoy, (Yesterday | post #92)
Reid trying to ram through health care bill
We have had our routs, and out of honour of an honest diatribe, must say, sorry for a rant of mine. I am trully a man without a 'tent'. lol Since I do not feel that the world owes me a living or see myself as a victim, I can not vote for a Democrat. Also, since I am not a Jesus freak, Nascar fan or have offshore accounts, the Neocons have left me. I am just a man that is concerned about my sphere of influence, (localism) and wants to be allowed to take care of my own. My world view is more similar to the goat wankers and trust fund babies that snivel at the G-8 summits then to iether of our 2 political parties. Call me a balding, bearded, 6 figure making disident. lol With regards, and a hope for your enjoyment, (Yesterday | post #43)
