This is an automobile, something that depreciates in value each year. These expensive autos are mostly leased in fleet to corporations and provided to their corporate officers, execs, secretaries (you know why she gets one). This is a perk. After the lease up, it is returned to the be classified as "certified " (another word for not being New). Example: 2 yr old high end auto selling for 55K, originally cost 80K, with the principal, interest, taxes added to the total cost will be 80K or more. I see so many high-end cars in low income areas than in the estates. If you keep them long enough you will have replaced all the working parts because they are replaced like parts in an airplane. If you can't make planes you make BMW. I wasted enough time on this smoke screen anyway. BUY AMERICAN, try and keep the money and jobs here, this is what we really need.  (Aug 31, 2009 | post #85)

Aaron McEachin - Up and Coming Prep Football Player

As I was reminded, Robert played for Maxton High School Eagles as a Defensive Back, which was the first integrated football team in the history of Maxton, NC. The son of Robert and Valerie McEachin is a student at McClay School in Tallahasse FL. Robert was the team manager for the R. B. Dean Trojans Men's Baseball and Basketball Team. Fire Rages, Burns Homes Near Fairfield

I have passed the vacant lot where the fire began, and have wondered why the lot had been neglected for so long. The grass was (and still in areas not consumed by fire) over 3 feet high. I was getting a haircut and one of the barbers saw the flames and said, I just saw a car leave that area. The barber called 911 as we all walked out to observe the small brush fire. Little did we know at that time what the brush fire would become! The fire trucks arrived and we thought it would be over. The fire was out in the brush area and some of the trucks began returning to Travis AFB. The brush fire started again and began to scorch the storage area walls, a few minutes later more trucks arrived and we could see the roofs and one of the vacant houses burning. I now truly understand how difficult it is to fight flames that strengthen by strong winds. More sirens were heard from a distance, help was coming, Cordelia, Vacaville, Benicia, Napa Marked Fire Engines and the Solano Emergency Mobile Center! I proceeded to return home and on my way west bound 80, more emergency vehicles and fire trucks going east bound to assist the other firefighters. I checked the internet news on about 1730 to discover that 40 vacant homes were destroyed, then 120, this morning it was totalled at 80. I thought about the fire that was on Highway 12 a few months ago (an associate's personal vehicle along with an unknow number of vehicles)was destroyed in the church parking lot), That fire started in a vacant lot! How many more vacant lots, houses, buildings, etc. pose the same threat! What can be done to ensure that this will not happen again! Fortunately, no one lost their lives or their homes. Kudos to all the local firefighters, police officers, TAFB security forces & police, TAFB FD, and to the other departments that provided their services from other neighboring cities.  (Aug 17, 2008 | post #2)

NC Teen Wants to Wear Sacred Eagle Feathers at Graduation

I grew up Maxton with the knowledge that Pembroke was the "Town of Native Americans", had a Native American College, now a University! Pembroke is Native American,every Locklear, Hunt, Chavis, etc. (can't remember all the names used) should stand up and recognize! Remember the mistake made years ago, do not add this one. Just like in California, we had to vote to keep English as the official language; almost had to learn to read and write spanish! This is a no brainer!  (Jun 19, 2008 | post #2)
