HealingTime ricochets off Poland and lands in the Alpha Centauri system!

Quite right! He's back and completely unaware of the news over the last month. Barely knows of the war in Georgia. Not watched anything of the Olympics. The news has been switched off. The papers and the internet firmly shut. B L I S S !  (Aug 17, 2008 | post #1)

Yeah ... and my Mother in Law agrees so I must be right! But she wasn\t so pleased when she cought me pissing from the bridge in Frognor Park in Oslo in the days when I used to drink more beer!  (Jul 28, 2008 | post #3)

Wrong Pesky, the Poles are taking piccies of the German girls showing their titties. For me the Germans are absolutely spot on when it comes to nude bathing. It\s a great shame that there are not more nude beaches in Poland. Skinny dipping is one of the great pleasures in todays world!  (Jul 28, 2008 | post #2)

Yeah youre right there Joppy. Perhaps we can organize an intercity war. Ill start shelling Belgrade from Krakow using Polish cheese and then you can retaliate with that imitation stuff and halusky?  (Jul 28, 2008 | post #229)

Hey I had my first pierogi in ages a couple of hours ago. We popped into a bistro and timed em. Must have taken at least 10 mins to be served ad they musy have been preprepared, frozen or something. Anyway, I think we need to step up progres on that pierogi-halusky machine of ours. If we can crack em out like popcorn we\ll hit th ebig time Pesky. You and me Pal! And we\ll get Abe to supervise production /OK? As for beer, well that\s been a problem for me recently as I seem to have developed an intolerance to it. That really is a bummer as a place like Krakow is supreme when it comes to sipping beer especially when weather is as hot as it is here right now.  (Jul 28, 2008 | post #228)

why does everyone hate the polish so much?

I was here in Poland two years ago, and thought the prices were still not too bad. But was getting 6 zloty for my English pound. Now I|m getting 4 zloty for each poxy pound things are looking rather bad. The food may be a little cheaper, but clothes, shoes, petrol are all exactly the same. And if someone like BNP4ever who does live in a shared slat with at least 6 others thinks he can come to Poland and buy 3 flats for his gardener]s monthly wage then I think he will be just a wee bit shell shocked. Nope, I]m sorry but these English guys on this particular forum are out of their depth when it comes to knowledge about the world they live in. Better to stick to the local footie team and picking winners at the local bookies. Feeling like big fish in a small pond is better of the self confidence than knowing you]re sprats and minnows in a much larger ocean.  (Jul 28, 2008 | post #3523)

Polish monastery may hold unknown Mozart works

I don\t play but am in full agreement with you. Liszt may be just a little Flash, but must admit that I need to listen a bit more to him. I also feel that certain composers resonate more depending on your stage in life and overall mood. So it\s always a moving target.  (Jul 28, 2008 | post #40)

why does everyone hate the polish so much?

Mr Utter Vermin, Your problem is that you speak from very little experience, in other words you know Jack Shit and yet manage to write 500 posts on the subject. I would suggest that you take a trip to Poland and find out for yourself. Many British do. Otherwise take the cheap flight on google and look up ceny nieruchomosci or property prices and get some facts before opening your gob and proving you know Jack. Sorry but I dont have the time or inclination to delve into endless repetition at the minute. I personally cannot see how Poles could possibly benefit from working for low wages in the UK and send money to Poland when the GBP is so weak. I really can}t and Im not going to struggle with this German language keyboard any longer!  (Jul 27, 2008 | post #3519)
