FORT BENNING, COLUMBUS GA.

Fort Benning has a really bad name over that way in Columbus. Its strip clubs, pawn shops, tatoo places, bars, Isn't there anything else for these soldiers to do when they are not on base?? All you hear is them fighting and getting into trouble. Why isn't the Army taking care of our Soldiers coming home from "War" No where around. That is why back in 2003 17 soldiers were sitting in jail from the 3ID either shooting someone or stabbing someone, beating someone, OH that is right that is what they teach them to do I forgot and most of all Kill people. That is what Fort Benning is all about. How Sad  (Apr 18, 2008 | post #3)

Ex-soldier's suit against Playboy dropped

The article was sympathetic to Mr. Burgoyne "Please" where do you see that at?? The Army tossed him away like a piece a trash and Mr. Lanny Davis a long with a few others would like to believe that Mr. Burgoyne killed Richard Davis, but that will never be. We all know who killed Richard Davis and it was Alberto Martinez, not Mario not Woodcoff and not Burgoyne. Has Mr. Burgoyne taken most of the heat for all of this? yes he has, did you see anyone else coming forward to speak the truth? NO you didn't . Did Mr. Burgoyne do some wrong doing? Yes he did. Is he paying for it? Yes he is. Did they find the bones of Mr. Richard Davis? Yes they did thanks to Mr. Burgoyne because no one else was talking. Did he get on the stand and speak for 5 hours and was the DA Star witness? Yes he did. I have been staying with this case from the beginning and its time to put the blame where it belongs. Please you are comparing this case to James Earl Ray the killer of Martin Luther King Jr. what a joke, that just looked good in writing for you to say that. The media and how it works to your advantage, it does wonders doesn't and makes you look good. hmmmmmm How sad that you can have a writer like Mark Boal tell lies and you print it in Playboy Magazine, let me tell you something he never met Mario's girlfriend or interviewed her at all NEVER. and he puts it in writing that he did? I would want him to do a story for me?? NOT maybe Playboy needs to keep right on using him as writer, if they like printing lies about stories. He is the one to hire.  (Apr 13, 2008 | post #11)

Ex-soldier's suit against Playboy dropped

Why wasn't the United States Army looking out after these young men when they came home from War???? Where were they? The just tossed them away like trash, they were done with them. Fort Benning closed there doors to all of this, they were ashamed for not being there to help these young men when they came home along with a lot of Soldiers not just these young men. How sad. I Say shame on you Fort Benning for not being there for our Soldiers in need. They gave 110 percent to the Army and the War, and you could care less about them. This sure has changed my views on a lot of things in our world today and about our Government. Thank you Mr. Christopher Montes De Oca You were right for doing what you did for this young man, we all know that. You did win in my eyes and in my heart. A Loving Mother  (Apr 13, 2008 | post #10)

This is the world that we live in today, how sad that we all just can't speak the truth. Its about who can get there picture on the front page of the paper, behind close doors with the deals that are made and money, and politics and sad. Than you have another young man "Woodcoff " that concealed the death of Richard Davis and got 9 months in jail and 5 years probation and is home in Texas in college. WOW isn't that nice. Why isn't he in Prison right along with the rest of them? Its that thing behind close doors and money, and your picture on the front page of the paper. I am sorry he needs to be sitting in prison also, its 10 years in the State of Georgia for that crime. What Happen? This is our world that we live in today, scary. I heard Mr. Burgoyne say once that the truth would set him free and it has, I can't say that for any of the other young men that were their that night. They will have to answer to someone higher one day. To bad we all can't rewind time before July 13th 2003 on a Sunday night when Richard Davis Life was taken by Alberto Martinez.  (Apr 13, 2008 | post #9)

Ex-soldier's suit against Playboy dropped

I have followed the trial from the beginning and read all the paper work that can be read on this case and spoke to 103 people at Fort Benning, what a messed up base that is at Fort Benning. Scary. Hey isn't that what they do at Fort Benning train men to Kill? no one wants to put that in writing. That is what they do, " Train someone to Kill another person." The article was sympathetic to Mr. Burgoyne "Please" where do you see that at?? There is proof that Mark Boal called Mr. Burgoyne a murder 8 times in "The Real Cost of War" just pick it up and read it, its very clear in writing as a matter of fact, but that is his First Amendment Rights so I thought I would use my First Amendment Rights here and speak the truth. How sad it is that a Lawyer "Anthony M. Glassman" states in court "gossip "what happen to facts in this case, didn't they read the transcripts of the trial? A statement was made by this Lawyer that Mr. Burgoyne kicked Mr. Davis in the head when he was on the ground? Please show me the facts here? Where did you get your information from? In the trial transcripts? No I know where that came from, It came right out of Mr. Lanny Davis's mouth because that is what he would like to believe. Mr. Davis would like to believe a lot of things that are not true with this case. Mr. Glassman the comment that he makes about a vicious person?? Have you met this young man Mr. Burgoyne? have you interview him? or have you just listen to gossip and stories in Playboy? Read the facts from the trial. go meet all the young men and than set your judgment.  (Apr 13, 2008 | post #6)

Lets clear something up for everyone to know, when Mr. Burgoyne was in Iraq he tried to take his own life, and someone there tried to get him sent to Germany Hospital for help, Did the Army send him NO they said he is a hero he is going home with the 3rd Infantry he came with them and he is going home with them he is a hero, that was put into writing by the commander of the 3rd ID. How sad they didn't give a soldier the help that he needed like many soldiers that need help. Makes me sick to think that these young men go over there and fight for out country and the Army tosses them away like a piece of trash when they get home. What is wrong with that picture. Mr. Burgoyne sat at the Army Hospital at Fort Benning for 6 hours and got a 5 min. evaluations over the phone by a Doctor and he released him. Shame on the U.S. Army. I see it had been printed by this paper that Alberto Martinez is the murderer of Richard Davis, its about time someone put that in writing about who the real killer was. Thank you.  (Apr 13, 2008 | post #5)

EXERCISING MY FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS: Playboy !!!!!! Article by Mark Boal, "The Real Cost of War" I read this story twice and its odd I found in the story that he had named Jacob Burgoyne 8 times as the murderer of Richard Davis?? I read his first story "Death and Dishonor" and he clearly name Alberto Martinez’s the murderer of Richard Davis?? Did I miss something here?? The Judge states he use to be a criminal defense attorney and dealt with some cold , calculated people and Jacob Burgoyne fits that mold. He came to this conclusion by watching a TV show 48 hours, how strange for a Judge. I don't think I would have hired him to represent me if he judges cases by watching TV maybe that is the problem he has watched to much TV. I didn't think that Mr. Burgoyne came across as Mr. Congeniality, I didn't think any of the men involved here come across as Mr. Congeniality. Take anyone and shave there head arrest them and get a pic with out a smile and they wouldn’t come across as that either. Has everyone watched the same movie that I saw " In the Valley of Elah" Boring, I think its the worst movie I have seen Tommy Lee Jones play in and I have seen most of his movies. Strange movie nothing like the real thing at all. Mark Boal did single out Mr. Burgoyne in his story "The Real Cost of War" its sells magazines. Can you picture it if he had used Mr. Burgoyne's graduation picture? Smiling and happy that wouldn’t have fit his story now would it.  (Apr 13, 2008 | post #4)
