Fort Mill, SC

Fort Mill City Councilman lives in Tega Cay

Ken Starnes said in an article in the Fort Mill Times (see link below) http://www.fortmil ltimes.com/187/sto ry/140801.html that he has been living in Tega Cay since the summer, while continuing to serve on the Fort Mill Town Council. In the article he says that he plans to move into a space over a vacant downtown business. As you can see from this post at "Fishing with Rusty", a website about bass fishing, Mr. Starnes has been living in Tega Cay since at least July 18th. Please note, I did not change the text below. All errors in spelling etc are from the original. ****************** ****************** ****** Message posted by hookspurs 69.132.112.225 I was on the lake sunday when the big storm rolled in. I got caught in Nivens creek and took shelter under a boat dock. As the lightning came, a fellow came out of the house next door and invited me in. Only when i got up to his house did i realize a tree had fallen on his deck and patio. His name was ken starnes and he owns shamrock landscaping in fort mill. this was a very thoughtfull thing for him to do and if he would treat a stranger in this way, i'm sure his customers are well taken care of. thank God for good samaritans. its good to know were not alone out there 2007-07-18 22:09:48 ****************** ****************** ******* Despite admitting in the local newspaper that he has been living MILES away from the people he is SUPPOSED to represent, he STILL has not moved to Fort Mill, at least not into the building he *claims* he has plans to move into. Would the Mayor of Rock Hill be allowed to live in Hickory Grove? Would a member of the Tega Cay City Council be allowed to live in Fort Mill? I doubt it. Starnes should resign, and if he does not do so voluntarily, the Town Council should remove him at once.  (May 17, 2008 | post #1)
