Now how would you or anyone else know what Bush and Cheney have in Swiss Banks. That is just BS either you or someone else is trying to throw out. Try to stick to facts, not goofball theories. GW (6 hrs ago | post #206)

I see where Texarkana, Texas is going to fight it. They wouldn`t want anything interfering with their tax raises. (Yesterday | post #3)
Do you agree with the Healthcare Bill
I didn`t want medicare when they first put it in. I was against it then, and I haven`t changed my mind. However I have been paying for it for years so I will use it if I have to. I have been on it for 2 years and haven`t used it yet. (Yesterday | post #13)

I found them. GW City gets lower interest rate on bonds Adds to good news ‘you’re hearing about Texarkana’ By: Brandy S. Chewning - Texarkana Gazette - Published: 11/24/2009 City Council members moved forward with a $17.5 million bond issue Monday, debt primarily committed to infrastructure projects. The council also took detailed action on a planned, city-owned convention center, with five agenda items related to the venue. The city stated intent to issue certificates of obligation early next year to purchase property for the center. The debt will be repaid wholly by savings dedicated for the center in past years. “It will have no effect on the current taxpayers in any form or fashion,” Sullivan said. “These are dollars that are generated exclusively by hotel occupancy tax and they go back into, hopefully, generating additional hotel occupancy. It’s one of those nice circular projects that when it works really nice it funds itself.” Sullivan said two sites are being considered for the venue and he expects the purchase to close by the end of the year. Board OKs $1.3 million bond to purchase land By: Brandy S. Chewning - Texarkana Gazette - Published: 11/24/2009 A shell game of sorts will take place in Texarkana, Ark., this week as money is shifted from a variety of accounts to finance and immediately repay a bond issue. In a special meeting Monday, the Board of Directors unanimously approved a $1.3 million bond to purchase land for the parking area of a hotel/convention center at Crossroads Business Park. The paperwork is expected to be finalized Wednesday and the revenue awarded to the city within two months. The city will proceed with spending the necessary money from general government funds and will reimburse the expense, including interest, when the bond money arrives. (Thursday Nov 26 | post #499)
Ha, Ha. We could have the Sullivan Convention Center on the Texas side. (Thursday Nov 26 | post #498)
I might be wrong, but that is the way I read it. It was two different articles. Texas had ok`d the purchase of land on a spot yet to be named. Arkansas was at the Crossbar or whatever that new place is north of town that they have been working on. Both were to have hotels with them. Maybe Hellcat can find and post them. Did President Admit To Being a Muslim?
Obama grandmama makes Muslim pilgrimage President extends 'best wishes' to participants of Islamic celebration Posted: November 25, 2009 8:48 pm Eastern By Bob Unruh © 2009 WorldNetDaily The 87-year-old Kenyan grandmother of President Obama – once described by the Associated Press as a "Christian " – is making the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina, the Hajj, according to news reports. The annual Islamic tradition was noted by the president, who issued a special statement today as Sarah Obama was reported to be a guest of the Saudi Arabian king. "Michelle and I would like to send our best wishes to all those performing Hajj this year, and to Muslims in America and around the world who are celebrating Eid-ul-Adha. The rituals of Hajj and Eid-ul-Adha both serve as reminders of the shared Abrahamic roots of three of the world's major religions," the statement, posted on the White House government website, said.
