I was up in Greer today and learned that at the Wal-mart up there they had a group do just what yall wanted to do and it was welcomed. It appears that one store is all that it is and other locations are allowing just the type of giving to go on. I have a freind up there and he used to work for walmart. He told me that many of the managers are sraced to do anything that goes against company police but that if the manager is okay with it the company does allow the manage to these kinds of things. Some managers are just too scared. If yall want to look into going a school supply drive I will go ahead and talk with the fellows and see what we can come up with. I know that we will have the support of our pastor and I will speak with him about using the church as a place to store stuff. Capt. Jack you and Warlock think about it and let me know. E-mail me. Again they are too scare to stick their necks out on the line for anything. Someone might say something and then they might have to defend what they are doing. The reason that store made a gift card donation for the Hemingway family is Hammer and I went to someone that we know that works in that store and made a personal request. We were told at the time that Wal-mart doesn't help single families only groups. This person said there would do what they could because they to know the Hemingway's and it took a week for it to go through. What happen today I don't know but I can tell you that many in management are scare to do anything for fear of what it might cost them. Yes it is gutless but when you have to kiss butt to get somewhere you tend to get scared of doing something even if it is right. (Saturday Aug 2 | post #23139)

This week end I will not be able to help. My brother in law's father died today and the funeral is Saturday. Sunday I have to go to Greenville. So this week end I will be out of the loop. However keep me posted on what is going on. My wife works for District 3 in Lexington and the schools know who is needed and we have an inside connection here with helping out. Glenn will be looking on his end to see what he can find out and not this coming Friday but the next we are meeting with our pastor about having a place to meet and getting a base for ministry to work from. We are going to be going over different things that we are looking at getting into. As you all know we don't mind hooking up with anyone and making a big job easy. Funny you should bring that up. Last night I was ask by a friend who is going to India on a missions trip in 10 days if I could help he raise some funding. Me again having no idea what I was getting myself in to said I would try. His name is Abednego Sigamani He is from India and has been living here in Lexington for a while. He does all his mission work out of pocket and most of the time his wife has to say behind. As she will be while he is going back to a place where they kill Christians. I am not asking the wheel to help unless some one wants to. The God Squad MM is doing this for a friend because we want to help out. Anyone interested feel free to contact me and let me know. Also The God Squad is actively looking on to doing somethings to help out with those who need help getting kids ready for school with school supplies. We are looking at the B&L district 3 and some in Lexington. If this is something that yall want to be involved with, as soon as I have more information in about a week I can pass that along. Yea, God Squad, a bunch of rookies that had never done anything this big before. We have only been a ministry for less than 3 months. No money, no resources, no clue.
