Do you keep bringing up the marrying of pets because...you secretly want to marry your dog? That's the only explanation as to why you keep bringing it up. (Jun 19, 2008 | post #44)
You are still under the dilusion that this will go away. You agree we should have a discriminatory law? We should refuse others rights? Oh wait...let me pause while you get the pedophile/polygamy card out. Gay does not equal pedophilia nor does it mean that polygamy is okay. What you and others don't understand, that definition of marriage doesn't nessarily change. When a man and a woman marries, the minister or whatever will say, "Husband and wife." When gay/lesbians marry, the minister or whatever will say, "Spouses for life." So...what's the issue here? That you're uncomfortable with it? Or that you'd rather go to sleep at night trying to pass a law that violates the civil rights other others and discrimates other people? What's the matter with you? Oh and before, you pull the bible card...jesus didn't write the consitution and nowhere in the constitution does it say that we have to do whatever jesus says. (Jun 18, 2008 | post #35)
The end of the world? Seriously? Ann and Bev can marry and it's the end of the world? You've got to be kidding me. Have some dignity and self respect and for yourself and accept others for who they are. The end of the world? Geesh. That seems a bit extreme. (Jun 18, 2008 | post #18)
Some churches open their doors to gay weddings
God also told us to love and honor thy neighbor....except if he/she is gay? God told us to be kind to others and the "golden rule"...excep t for when it comes to gay/lesbians? Sounds like God is the hyprocrite to me. The Greeks (BC) had sex with the same sex all the time (Socrates wrote about it in "Gorgias "), then Jesus comes along and says no? This is the one issue that is keeping me from joining any church. Why can't we just let people be? And focus this negative energy into positive like stopping gang violence or violence in general? Doesn't that make more sense? (Jun 16, 2008 | post #11)
Poll: Majority of Californians back gay marriage
Why don't we go back to segregation, then? Sounds good. We can have gay schools and straight schools. We can have gay drinking fountains and straight drinking fountains. WE can have gay schools and straight schools. That should do it, right? Discrimination is a great way to live. Here's a reality check for you, you won't beat it. You can't have a law that discriminates against other people. So, go to therapy and learn to deal with it. If you're not gay, then what does it matter to you? Or maybe you're one of those who get really mad at gay issues because... (May 28, 2008 | post #62)
Gay marriage ruling delay unlikely
According to the dictionary, a bigot is, "a person who is intolerant of opinions which conflict with his own, as in politics or morals; one obstinately and blindly devoted to his own church, party, belief, or opinion." 80% of the people who respond to this issue and rejects the rights of others fall under this "bigot" category. We were taught that all everyone was created equal..but to a certain extent, right? "We", the people of California, stupidly voted on a measure that would discriminate others are refuse them the rights that are deserved. But because people are uncomfortable with what others are doing, then we need to bad it, right? I know some of you are quick to use a pedophile comparison, but don't waste your time. GAY MARRIAGE AFFECTS NO ONE! So, you bigots don't like it? Well, then you won't be invited to the ceremony. One last nugget to chew on. What if one your children/grandchil dren were gay/lesbian. Wouldn't you want them to have to same happiness that you do? Let's ban bigot breading. That makes more sense. (May 26, 2008 | post #13)
Court upholds same-sex marriage -- and love
Isn't it more outrageous that the people voted for something that discriminated against other citizens? Why don't we just go back to segregation then? You know, we can have a gay drinking fountains and straight drinking fountains. That's democracy, right? Denying people the right to pursue happiness when it REALLY doesn't affect anyone's lives? Oh yeah, it's outrageous oh and un-human. It's definately un-human to "allow" everyone equal treatment. Certainly outrageous (May 17, 2008 | post #14)
Why don't you take your hate and anger to a biggot run state, like Arizona or Kansas (May 16, 2008 | post #31)

Armed man fatally shot by police in Wilmington
I'm confused. So if a guy, with an extensive criminal history, flees police then gets out of the car firing...the police do what? Have a tea party? The police did the right thing. I'm glad you say they are loose on the trigger and they should be especially when it comes to these uncivilized people. (Apr 3, 2008 | post #83)
CSULB protesters say $313M in cuts to the system will hurt economy
As did I. I worked three jobs to pay for grad school. It's not crap, it's reality. School is exspensive and it shouldn't be. You're right, illegals should go. I'm not sure what the "crap" is. (Mar 28, 2008 | post #14)
CSULB protesters say $313M in cuts to the system will hurt economy
There should be no cuts in education budgets at all. I went to Long Beach State for both my degrees and it's a great school as is Cerritos where I teach. Getting the motivation to go to school is hard enough without worrying about the cost. School is expensive as it is...why make it harder? Why make it impossible? (Mar 27, 2008 | post #8)
