Question about President Obama
I know a lot of mixed people, they are really nice. My point is, though, that he seems to be aging quicker than other presidents have. It may just be my perspective, but that is how it appears to me. (3 hrs ago | post #7)

There are two types of corn nuggets, one is an off brand cereal like Corn Pops and the other is a dried corn product that tastes a lot like corn chips. (4 hrs ago | post #14)
I don't know where you all are looking for a good man, but you definitely aren't gonna find one in a bar. There are good guys in Frankfort, it just takes some effort to find them. Anything worth having is worth working for. There isn't a 'good man' tree out there where you can just pluck one, and they aren't just going to fall into your life. By the way, most of the good men want a long lasting relationship, not just a tumble in bed or someone too needy to take care of themselves. They want a life partner to live life with. They want the long haul, ladies. (4 hrs ago | post #24)
By the way, have any of you googled the questions I posted earlier? If so, give your feed back, with links, please. (4 hrs ago | post #35)
Gastopo, I agree, up to a point. I say give our troops the equipment and support they need or BRING THEM HOME! Let those countries fight it out among themselves. They've been doing it for hundreds of years, anyhow. (4 hrs ago | post #34)
Illegal alien burns elderly woman alive, now gets life
I don't want anybody to be abused, discriminated against, ignored, or anything like that, BUT this has got to stop. The heinous crimes that are hitting the globe are really horrific. Just last week, officers in Russia arrested three homeless people that killed a 24 year old man, ate part of him and then tried to sell part of his body to a kabob shop! A teen girl set up one of her classmates for a gang rape and the victim was then taken back to school, where, after a few HOURS, school officials called the police. The girl had to have surgery and was in ICU for 3 DAYS! I'm with Aunt Roz, get a rope. We, as Americans are also to blame, wanting to give everyone a chance to 'turn their lives around'. In my opinion, this just lets others do horrible crimes and know that the only punishment is jail time. I know that there are a very, very few innocents in prison and jails, but come on let's get real here. These crimes should be punishable by more extreme means than just jail time where the criminals get to bulk up, make more criminal contacts, get free food, clothing, medical care, etc. I know that not all criminals can't be turned around, but, let's face it, most can't or won't be rehabilitated and will continue to do crimes once their sentences are served. Let's stop this madness! I just don't know how to. (4 hrs ago | post #39)

What are you Thankful for this season?
I'm thankful that I have my mom, dad, father-in-law and mother-in-law with us still. I don't know how much longer any of them will be with us because none of them are in good health. The wonderful thing is, all four of them are friends with each other. That in and of itself is a blessing. Thank You, Lord, for the four people I can call parents. (12 hrs ago | post #12)
You know, kids butts are rounded for the extra padding when it is time for the paddle. (I never used a paddle, but man, where there times!) (12 hrs ago | post #29)
Thanks, Robert. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We did. This is the first dinner I've cooked in about 15 years and the parents loved not doing all the work. My father-in-law loves cooking and having the family at his house. With his age and health, along with my mom and dad and mother-in-law, they finally let me do the cooking. It's a good thing the turkey wasn't dry! Everything went very well and everyone had a great time. I am so thankful that none of the parents over worked this year. It was good to see and hear them laughing as the food was put out and know that everything was great with them. It is so hard for our parents to let go of the reins sometimes, but from the smiles and relaxed looks on their faces, I think they were glad they let go. (12 hrs ago | post #2)
Tough Love Children Do Better In Life - Positive Parenting News
I had a very good Thanksgiving. My daughter called, my son helped my husband get the dining room ready for company, he even fixed the broccoli casserole. My husband and I raised our kids with love and discipline. There were times when my side of the family thought we were being to 'tough' on them, making them use their manners, stopping them from being 'brats', reminding them to keep their noise level down while inside, stuff like that. And we did spank them when the situation called for it. I have a couple of good young adult kids. (They will always be kids to me.) They work hard for what they need and want. They take care of themselves, help when needed, sometimes even when help isn't needed. They let me know, without reminders or guilt, that they love me and their dad. They are resourceful and wonderful people, and, yes, some of it came from 'tough love'. We also had fun raising them, spent a lot of time with them exploring the world and talking to them. That is one secret a lot of parents don't get. It is a wonderful thing to carry on a conversation with your kids, even young kids. If you haven't ever carried on a conversation WITH your kids, give it a try. They will remember them with fondness and learn how to communicate with others as they grow up. (12 hrs ago | post #8)
