From an email I got from a friend of mine in Australia. "Has any of the problems with the UK Scientists who falsified and manipulated the climate data received an in-depth report from the major networks in the USA? Have the problems with the Canadian and New Zealand data been reported (or is the reporting all limited to the UK countries)? I ask because the news here down-under reported that it is being ignored in the USA. There is growing speculation that the USA government is ignoring the facts revealing the problems with the politicized & flawed science. The USA government is slowly being portrayed as an ignorant bully pushing an agenda, regardless of the truth (the Americans pushing their weight around to influence the meeting in Denmark before the facts are reported). I made a few web searches for "climategate " and came up with very little in reporting from the USA (two weeks-old links from an AOL Search and zero from a CNN US-NEWS filter search). I get tens of thousands of search links here, but I receive "Your search climategate did not match any documents" when the search is limited to USA reports. Is the USA government ignoring the issue? " I find it interesting that our government and our media are all ignoring it as much as possible, I wonder how many of our elected officials are invested in Al Gores company...  (8 hrs ago | post #32)

You bet your boopie we are, our owner had planned on doubling the size of the building we are currently in now, new building two miles away, hiring an additional 100-150 people and going from there. Not now, in fact we may be moving out of the US with the way these socialists are screwing with business's. Looking over the alternatives and I find it rather interesting that the prices here in NE PA are a heck of a lot higher per KWH than further west. Either that or I'm reading the rather confusing charts wrong, Anyone know if there is one single spread sheet out there for prices. I have to laugh, it was because of George Bush's administration that Clinton was able to have that access. Blame the Republicans always and take credit for others works. I could care less what party you are but if you run for the office and get elected you dam well better do the job. I don't want anything from the govt, not unless I'm paying for it, I don't want health care from them I have my own, Social security, fine, that asshole FDR passed it, I've been paying into it since I started working at 14, it dam well better be there when I retire, SS was not some great altruistic plan by the govt, it was written so that 90% of the people would never live long enough to collect it. Not to mention both Hoover and Roosevelt screwed WWI vets for as long as he could till congress over rides him in 1936 so no party favoritism there in my part. Obama is in Allentown and he brought Air Force One when it would have been a 45 minute ride on one of his choppers, not to mention the traffic that's been screwed up. Getting to Andrews AFB from the White House and getting gear up took longer than the chopper ride would have an cost easily thousands of bucks more. What a waste, flying air force one 144 miles, my god that burned enough fuel to heat a hundred houses for a year, 747's burn 11 TONS of fuel per hour with the highest consumption at takeoff and getting up to speed.  (Friday Dec 4 | post #26)
