I am 35. I am happily married with a 2 1/2 year old son and I am very proud step-mother to two smart, beautiful and amazing step-daughters. Please let me know if I may be of assistance to you or should be informed of something in Galveston, TX! Be well, www.ExpectingExecutive.com
Believe me, daycare is NOT hell on earth for children. It is actually really fun! And, kids learn some really valuable skills that may benefit you in ways you may never think of! Take for instance, learning to take a nap on the floor in semi-loud and semi-bright conditions. That ALWAYS helps when you get stuck in an airport or when you are at a wedding reception that will never end and your tipsy husband refuses to leave because you lost at rock/scissors/pape r and got to be the designated driver for the evening! Who knew?!?!?! I love and appreciate the time, patience, talents and dedication of childcare employees and childcare business owners. If you haven't thanked your childcare provider lately, it might be nice to remind them you really appreciate them today. So, then, if you are thinking about childcare, need childcare, or want to reevaluate your current childcare, here are some places on the good old world wide web that I found to be interesting, helpful or a little bit of both. Click on the link below for government and commercial childcare resources...sites include resources for parents caring for children with disabilities and there is a site for childcare resources for children of deployed military personnel. http://blogspot.ex pectingexecutive.c om/2007/08/20/dayc are-is-not-a-dirty -word.aspx As always, please feel free to e-mail me if you need any help or childcare suggestions! I might offer that while Galveston's waters may not be Gulf of Mexico blue (thanks a lot Mississippi River) it does have surf, sand and fun! The Grand 1894 Opera House has amazing shows to see...the history is unique...the food is amazing...the drinks are cold...the people are friendly and the parking along the beach is free! If you are ever coming this way, please, do not hesitate to send me a note if you have any questions or need a few suggestions! www.ExpectingExecu tive.com (Aug 27, 2007 | post #18)
