Keep dreaming! Closed-circuit cameras are not the same as red light cameras. Closed circuit cameras do not have the resolution or the multiple angles required to proove license plate ID, nor do they have the ability to record exactly WHO is operating the vehicle. There will be no enforcement of your mythical "green vehicles first" wet dream. It's nice that you also conveniently added your own words to the quoted reference, hoping nobody would catch it. Nowhere in the original quote does it say that they will "add diamond lanes". Original text: "Crews will widen ramps, install metering lights and begin connecting closed-circuit TV cameras at approximately 60 sites along 25 miles of eastbound and westbound I-80 from Vallejo to Vacaville."
