Cutler throws career-high five interceptions in Bears' loss
If adversity makes one stronger, then Jay Cutler will be as powerful as Hercules as his career moves on. He has been beaten, humiliated, embarrassed, and exposed as a passer who skipped out of Denver when the new coach wasn't a fan of his. He throws picks at a record breaking clip and there seems to be no end to them in sight. He's huffy and puffy and at the center of a violent storm in Chicago spawned by an outraged fan base and unyielding media scrutiny. Hopefully things get better for him and my team in the next few seasons. (Friday Nov 13 | post #7)
Riddle me this: Who is Cutler?
Jay Cutler is someone who's telling you to kiss his ass without really saying it. He's the one who's ass you and your peers are sniffing at when you're given the permission to even question him. He's one of the reasons you have a job. Every time he scratches his ass or rolls his eyes, he's saying,"Fuck you". Riddle me this...why do you suck bantha boo doo? (Friday Nov 6 | post #3)
Bears, Cutler working out the kinks
Working out the kinks? I sure hope so. Cutler is finding out the hard way that life in Chicago can be a real bitch. He's getting hit hard as hell, the silly ass media has him under the microscope, and he's questioning his reads due to happy feet and interceptions. Jay stormed out of Denver and into a situation that's hotter than a grill in July, so no matter what happens the rest of the way, he has to prove to this team and it's fans that he can handle whatever is thrown at him. Cutler frustrated? Who could blame him?
Poor, battered Jay. He fought his way out of Denver and right into a meat grinder. Some early success and a few bright moments seems light years away now, because Cutler is being brutalized. Sure, he got a nice little package to keep him in the dough, but he's paying with blood. As the hits and the sacks add up, Jay is going to have to make a choice; trust his instincts and let that rock fly, or hold it a little longer and get third railed. Might as well throw it Jay. If hurling a ton of picks is the price you have to pay to stay alive to see another day, then fling it. I don't care how much money you make, it aint worth dying for. Save yourself son. Scouting report: Know your Chicago Bears
I'm still recovering from the 40 story free-fall after a 45 to 10 rear cracking at Cincy. Add to that the ongoing problems with run and pass blocking, an over all lack of innovation, and zero adjustment making ability, there's no wonder Bears fans are blue. The only hope we have is for some sort of miracle to happen, for holes to start opening and long runs popped off. We need Cutler to be protected and accurate. The defense has to become dominant. From my view, we need a miracle. (Friday Nov 6 | post #1)
Bears ready for redemption after loss last season
Redemption? No. Last year is long gone and the time has come for the Bears to start establishing their identity for 2009. So far the offense and defense has been getting by while working out the kinks that comes with blending in new players, and that's good. Now, in game five, it's up to the lines on both sides of the ball to mesh, maybe not all at once, but at a steady pace so the entire team begins to peak by season's end. (Oct 16, 2009 | post #2)
Each NFL season takes on a life of it's own as the weeks flash by, and this game between these 3-1 teams is a perfect example. The Falcons win over the Bears in 08 propelled them to an 11-5 finish and a trip to the post season, while Chicago struggled to a respectable 9-7 but couldn't win at Houston to get into the playoffs. Changes on both teams, most notably Jay Cutler to the Bears and Tony Gonzalez in Atlanta has bolstered the fire power on the respective offenses, while revamped defenses will be on display in a huge early season game in the Georgia Dome on Sunday Night Football. 2009-10 NBA preview: Chicago Bulls
I still say Ben Gordon is one of the best players in the NBA at what he does and the Bulls should have paid him more for what he did for them while he was here. Since he's gone though, Rose must become the super star people are predicting he will be in only his second year in the league, Deng must become the scorer Gordon was, and Salmons must continue to play well. Good luck. (Sep 25, 2009 | post #3)
Bears, Steelers each trying to find their running games
To run the ball effectively your O-line has to be solid, your backs must be skilled, and your quaterback has to be able to provide the consistent threat of an air attack. Both the Bears and the Steelers will have more success on the ground as the season goes on. The Bears ground attack should improve once the three new starters on their O-line get in sync. The Steelers? Although winning back to back crowns would be ridiculously impressive, The World Champs have absolutely nothing to prove to anyone. They are truly the shit. (Sep 23, 2009 | post #4)
Cutler, Gould lead Bears over Steelers, 17-14
Six rings for a franchise? Bad ass QB's, receivers, runners and defense damn near every year? Smash-mouth football at it's best complimented by outstanding skill players? I'm not a Steelers fan, but I hope and pray for the day my team can even come close to what the Steelers have accomplished. Thanks for beating 'em on Sunday Bears. Keep plugging away so we can start stackin' those Lombardi's like the killers in Steel Town. (Sep 23, 2009 | post #24)
Cutler carries Bears over Steelers
And how do you know this? No one knows who's going to the playoffs and who's gonna win. Early signs show an improved Bears defense and passing game. Once the rushing game gets on track, the special teams will do the rest. (Sep 23, 2009 | post #9)
Cutler carries Bears over Steelers
You're just another in a long line media driven puppets who foolishly follow the puppet masters. How would you deal with being shopped after a pro- bowl season? Even if Jay was being a crybaby, all I ever wanted in Chicago was a talented passer for the Bears and now we have one! There's a lot more football to be played this season and my hope is Jay and his team find a different way to win every week. (Sep 23, 2009 | post #8)
Eventually I will post comments on topics other than the Chicago Bears, but right they need all the power each and every fan can send them, so I'll be busy for a few centuries.
