Obama: "If I am not ready, how is it that you think I would be ...
What kind of arrogance is this? The Clintons have given a new definition to the word arrogance. The current #2 in elected delegates doesn't care what voters want. She cares only about the Clintons. She still hasn't revealed how they got the $5 million to lend to their campaign -- no tax return yet. The Clintons still haven't released the 1st lady correspondence or the donor list for the Clintons presidential library. She still hasn't disclosed what, exactly, her experience as first lady makes her qualified to lead the nation. But she has, via Travelgate, Whitewater, and any number of other questionable ethical involvements, proven she is not honest, open, forthright, or caring of what regular old non-rich voters think to be president. She listens only to the lobbyists and corporations who make her and hubby wealthy. I am a die-hard Democrat. I will NOT vote for that corrupt couple NO MATTER WHAT. (Mar 10, 2008 | post #8)
Clinton Campaign Gearing Up for Fight
Just say NO -- to lies, corruption, scandal, same-old-dirty politics. Just say NO to a Clinton DYNASTY. Go Obama. (Feb 16, 2008 | post #152)
I hope Obama takes Ohio too. I haven't heard many people talking about voting for the Clintons but I have heard a lot of excitement about Obama -- including among a "former" Republican (turned off by the years with GW) saying he'll vote for Obama. But if Hillary is nominated he'll vote for McCain. CNN just reported Hillary is stepping up the negative ads. Here we go again -- same old cut-throat dirty spin the truth politics the Clintons excel at. And another Clinton scandal is hiding in the shadows -- renting out the Lincoln bedroom to a Mr. Gupta for almost $1 million "donation " to the Clinton presidential library. . . Everything You've Ever Wanted To Know About Delegates And Super...
It will be a sad day for American democracy if the super delegates trump the voters. In fact such a move could effectively kill the democratic party -- and spur disaffected democrats to form a real third party. (Feb 13, 2008 | post #4)
Obama, McCain Sweep Potomac Primaries
Well, according to Hillary, Virginia, Maryland, and DC don't count. According to Hillary she doesn't need support in those states because they have large numbers African Americans and Starbucks elitist liberals! No, according to the Clintons only blue collar workers in Ohio and Latinos in Texas count. She's not even trying to win votes in Wisconsin because they're "quirky" . The Clintons say caucuses don't count because only "fanatics " attend them and they're somehow undemocratic!?! And the Clintons claim they don't need a majority of the votes in most states -- they just need enough delegates to have the nomination decided by the so-called super delegates who "owe" the presidency to her?!? Personally, I'm getting tired on the Clinton contempt for the democratic process and the PEOPLE they are supposed to SERVE. I'm getting tired of lame excuses and dismissal out of hand anyone who dares question their credibility or policies. We need a president who can speak to and inspire Americans from all socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. We need a president who can unite us and our elected representatives to face and overcome huge obstacles. We need transparency and accountability. We need someone like Obama. The more I see of Hillary, the more disappointed I become. This Ohioan is voting for OBAMA on March 4. (Feb 13, 2008 | post #59)
Obama Poised to Sweep Into Lead Over Clinton in Primaries Today
I'm a white woman in Ohio and I vote for OBAMA. (Feb 12, 2008 | post #67)
Yep, Hillary is dismissing Virginia, DC, and Maryland because they have so many African American voters that they don't really count!(and she didn't expect to win there anyway because, you know. . .) Not even Wisconsin is important because, as CNN said, they're "flaky". Only Texas with all those Latinos and Ohio with all those blue collar workers really count. Aren't WE, the AMERICAN PEOPLE, more than the stupid "demographics " the Clintons and media use to define us? Enough. We need a Clinton Dynasty about as much as we need a Bush Empire. Both are a bunch of corrupt, back room dealing, old style politicians. Democracy is NOT something the Clintons can do FOR or TO us. Democracy is something WE do. It's time we take back OUR Democracy. Hold those elected officials accountable. Demand transparency and honesty. Where are Hillary's 1st Lady papers? Where are her tax returns? Where are the honest answers to travelgate and White Water? No to another 8 years of the Clintons. No to another 8 years of scandal and hidden agendas. I vote for OBAMA in 2008! (Feb 12, 2008 | post #13)
Obama Poised to Sweep Into Lead Over Clinton in Primaries Today
I will not vote for another Clinton or another BUSH ever. Hillary is experienced in corruption. Hillary takes more campaign money from insurance companies than even the Republicans. So what will she do to reward insurance companies? She will garnish YOUR WAGES is you don't buy health insurance! Give me a break. Democracy is not something elected officials do FOR YOU. Democracy is something YOU do. Officials are to be accountable to YOU and every other voter. So where's Hillary's 1st Lady papers? Where's her tax return? Where's her honest replies? Now Hillary is dismissing Virginia, DC, and Maryland because they have so many African Americans so they don't really count. No, its really Texas with all the Latinos and Ohio with all the blue collar workers that are important. And she won't even go to Wisconsin because, as CNN put it, they're "flaky". We are a diverse nation. We are more than the demographics the CLINTONS and the media use to define us. We are not just "Latinos ". We are not just "older women" or "white men" or "young voters". WE ARE AMERICANS and this DEMOCRACY BELONGS TO US. Its time to take BACK OUR DEMOCRAY. Go Obama!!! (Feb 12, 2008 | post #62)
Can the Muslim Smear Hurt Obama?*
That particular LIE was started by a CLINTON campaign staffer. THE CLINTONS ARE THE MASTER LIARS. Don't you remember their presidency? Lots and lots of lies -- although BUSH lies have arguably led to more death and destruction but still they are LIES. And the CLINTONS are MASTERS of backroom dealing and secrecy. They believe in slash and burn no holds barred old-style politics. And now Hillary dismissed Virginia, DC, and Maryland because, after all they have lots of African American voters so they don't really count. What counts are the Latino voters in Texas and the blue collar workers in Ohio! Talk about divisive! And she's given up on Wisconsin because, as CNN put it, they're "flaky"! Enough with dirty politics. Enough with lies. Enough with bought policies. It's time for change we can believe in. It's time to VOTE for OBAMA in 2008! (Feb 12, 2008 | post #52)
Obama Poised to Sweep Into Lead Over Clinton in Primaries Today
Our founding fathers put their lives on the line and fought for the principle of government FOR the PEOPLE, BY the PEOPLE, OF the PEOPLE. It is our duty as American citizens to remind the politicians -- especially the Clintons and the Republicans -- that Democracy is NOT something they do TO us or even FOR us. Democracy is something WE, the AMERICAN PEOPLE DO. Elected officials are accountable and answerable to US, not the lobbies and corporations and people who can afford to attend $2000/plate fund raiser dinners. Get out and VOTE. Obama gets my vote. It's time for change we can believe in. It's time for transparency, accountability, trust, and integrity. Go Obama 2008! (Feb 12, 2008 | post #60)
Obama Poised to Sweep Into Lead Over Clinton in Primaries Today
That's right. And now she's dissing Virginia, DC, and Maryland because they have SO MANY AFRICAN AMERICANS so they don't really count. NO -- Texas with all the Latinos and Ohio with all the BLUE COLLAR and "red neck" voters are the two races that count. She's not even bothering with Wisconsin, because as CNN put it, its "flaky"! Democracy BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE -- NOT the Politicians. The Clintons have forgotten that. (Feb 12, 2008 | post #59)
Obama Poised to Sweep Into Lead Over Clinton in Primaries Today
Yes. Obama will energize American. He will encourage us to overcome the many obstacles we face. And he will raise our standing in the world and UNITE us as a DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE. (Feb 12, 2008 | post #58)
Seeking Unity, Obama Feels Pull of Racial Divide
We are a diverse nation. And we are all Americans. We are MORE than the demographics that the media and the Clintons use to define us. We are more than just "Latinos ". We are more than just "white males". We are more than "older women". We are more than "young voters" or "the Star Bucks super-educated well-to-do" crowd or "African Americans". Again, I say we are Americans - period. We must UNITE to TAKE BACK OUR DEMOCRACY from the back room dealers and secret negotiators and unethical scandal makers. We must TAKE BACK OUR DEMOCRACY from the lobbies and corporations who too many politicians answer to before they answer to US, the AMERICAN PEOPLE. Hillary disappointed me when she brought out her well practised negative, take no prisoners all out war, campaign style in Iowa. And she totally lost me when her co-candidate, Bill, brought up every divisive topic possible including race in S. Carolina. Obama is the only candidate for transparency who walks the talk. Where are Hillary's 1st Lady papers? Where are Hillary's tax returns. Where is Hillary's accountability. Did she ever come clean about travelgate or White Water? Has Hillary forgotten that Democracy is NOT something she or any other politician can do TO us or FOR us? Democracy is something WE DO. It BELONGS to us. Politicians are ACCOUNTABLE to US. Take back OUR American DEMOCRACY. Vote for OBAMA. (Feb 12, 2008 | post #44)
Dems head for messy nomination process
Yes, the "super delegates" are an issue. And they will have to be very careful lest they anger the many Independents and new Democrats. The wrong choice by those elites could weaken the party in a serious way. They could guarantee a Republican wins this year by sending many Democrats to a third party candidate.
