We wonder why our kids are becoming obese...we shove corn syrup laden food and sodas down their throats at lunch time, then don't even allow them to "burn up" the caloric intake? OK, first we took prayer out of schools, and brother, I needed all the prayer I could get before exams! Then we took corporal punishment out of schools (that's "paddling ", for the uninformed!). Then we got so politically correct that we won't let our football teams use an Indian name or mascot! We let Coca-Cola and Pepsi shove corn-syrup laden soft drinks down our kids throats, quickly followed by caffeine overloaded "energy drinks". We dope up kids on Ritalin or Strattera simply because they can't sit still long enough to learn a few basic skills. And last, but certainly not least, all we teach kids and demand from our teachers is "higher standardized test scores"! Let's get back to the BASICS of a sound education, STOP tying the hands of teachers, and STOP letting the school system try to teach our children the moral lessons that THEY SHOULD BE LEARNING AT HOME!!!!! thoughts on abortion

Abortion is murder. I know, if there is a problem with the baby, is the mother's life in danger...etc. Women have been dying in childbirth since the garden of eden. One of the punishments for Man's original sin! Let's look, however, at the main reasons for abortion! A woman "gets pregnant out of wedlock, and is afraid of being shunned by society"...wh at is worse, a child born to an unwed mother, or a child murdered? "It just isn't a good time for us to have a child." What IS a "good time"? Most pregnancies AREN'T PLANNED! (And, as the youngest of seven brothers, Thank God pregnancies weren't planned when my parents were having kids!). "The child is a product of incest/rape". I wish I could deny that incest and rape exists, but since biblical times, they unfortunately have. My solution? CASTRATE the males responsible for rape and incest! They may do it once, but the repeat offensives we see far too often will stop! And what better deterrent to a young, randy boy than to know that if he goes too far and hurts a young girl (or boy! And brother, I could rant all day about homosexuality! "homophobic "? Damn straight, and will stay that way!) then he will have to suffer the consequences! And, I know, I haven't even begun to touch all aspects of this issue, but I will always believe abortion to be murder! (Aug 29, 2007 | post #5)

Illegal immigration opponents not all bigots

Do not label someone as a "bigot" just because they may be an opponent of illegal immigration. I have worked for years with Mexican immigrants who on the whole get payed far less than their co-workers, even though they work far harder than most of the spoiled young "legal" Americans that they work with! I am against illegal immigration for the fact that is has created a class of workers in the country that is one step shy of legalized slavery! And before you jump up and scream about Mexicans "taking our jobs!", stop to consider that they are performing services that American workers, especially young White American workers, have gotten to sorry to do! And, yes, I am white, and yes, I stay disgusted at young white youth all the time, including my oldest son! So, even though I am against illegal immigration, you CANNOT label me as a bigot!
