Build a rail station and run a light rail line between Downtown Columbus and Downtown Hilliard. Give people a real reason to go to Downtown HIlliard. If you end up building more boring strip malls it will be no reason at all for anyone to go there.  (Oct 15, 2009 | post #7)

Some of you people posting comments are morons if you think that crime can't happen in the suburbs and that this is in any way a result of any amount of proximity to Downtown. Crime happens. Everywhere. How about trying to be more productive and help fix society's problems rather than trying to run away from it and hide behind white picket fences and pretending like anything on the other side of the fence doesn't matter. Idiots.  (Oct 15, 2009 | post #49)

High-speed rail for Ohio estimated at $1.53 billion

Of course you're correct that trains are not a solution for everyone, but here's the problem with your logic: Currently, driving is the ONLY option. If just SOME people are taking a train from downtown Columbus to downtown Cleveland then it alleviates road congestion for Mr. Dublin-to-Westlake commuter. Fewer cars on the road are going to benefit people who choose to drive! It's a win-win for everyone! BRING ON THE HIGH SPEED RAIL!  (Jul 18, 2009 | post #17)

EXACTLY! you cant shop there anymroe because the developers packed up and moved. that meijer just moved a bit down the road and everyone left an abandonded zombie center behind them. the retail developers are to blame for this type of wasteful sprawl!  (Jul 11, 2009 | post #48)

(that was directed to Robert & Jeff) joe, i don't think a teeny bit of extra traffic or a few extra seconds of driving is really that much of a problem for those areas. if that were the case then no one would be driving up to that cluster at polaris. traffic nightmare! give tuttle another 10 years. the developers will move on and everyone will blame the city instead of the sprawl developers. rinse and repeat! LOL!  (Jul 7, 2009 | post #44)

so what your saying is that "ghetto people" have magic cars that will drive them a few miles to easton but not a few more miles to polaris or tuttle? makes sense to me! LOL!  (Jul 7, 2009 | post #43)
