tow company price gouging

AAA Coverage is only $96/year. Check the most recent benefits summary here: http://www.aaasout h.com/benefits_plu s.asp There's really no reason not to have it as far as I'm concerned.  (Jun 4, 2008 | post #7)

Auto Parts

auto parts, OEM vs aftermarket

With aftermarket parts, the price you pay for a less expensive part is the potential for less than perfect fit. Most times, these differences prove to be minor enough that a bolt hole or two may need to be slightly elongated, or that adjacent panels may need to be adjusted to match the fit of the new part. Your chances of facing these types of issues are directly related to the quality of the aftermarket parts used, so I strongly recommend that if you are going to use aftermarket, go for something with CAPA or comparable certification.  (Apr 26, 2008 | post #12)

OrderKeystone.com hits 50,000-visitor mark in three years

For anyone out there not using this resource, I highly recommend it. I find it invaluable not only from a parts manager standpoint, but from the back office point of view the ability to track credits and invoices online is invaluable. If Keystone is one of your vendors, you might want to give this a try. Dave L. Production Manager, --- --- Collision Center.  (Mar 17, 2008 | post #1)

Got a band?

I am seeking a band to play 3-5 scheduled performances in a very high traffic location. While payment for the gig itself would be minimal, this venue offers an opportunity for promotion of your band in an extremely high traffic location. Interested? Let's talk. e-mail dave@espressoscoff ee.com.  (Oct 5, 2007 | post #1)

Starbucks

The closest thing to confirmation I've seen is the above e-mail I got from Starbucks Corporate. And yes Cole, we are selling. Stop in and talk to Debbie at the shop if you or anyone you know is interested.  (Oct 5, 2007 | post #22)

Crestview PD investigating kidnapping

Hmmm, He drove her out of town, used her car to attempt to rob the credit union, and then returned it to the parking lot where it started. Sounds like an unprovable alibi to me, or at least an attempt at one.  (Sep 18, 2007 | post #1)

Starbucks

Well, it's official. Here's the response I got from Starbucks corporate: <quote> At the present, we are in the early planning stage to open a store at SR 85 & Redstone Ave. on South Ferdon Blvd. Since it is still in the planning stage, we have not set the tentative opening date for the store yet. </quote> Bring it on big boys!  (Aug 14, 2007 | post #12)

Now who do you call about irresponsible forum posters who don't re-read what they just typed before posting it? <quote> "...in both cases were handled very directly in both cases." </quote> :-)  (Aug 10, 2007 | post #6)

Starbucks

Thank you so much for your candid feedback Cole. My "trash talking" post aside, I certainly recognize the reality of the local business-vs.-franc hise equation all too well. I’m certain we will lose some business to Starbucks; however I do not think it will be substantial enough to come even close to forcing us to close our doors. Most of the bullet points you identified have already either been addressed (lawn, cars for sale, lights) or are planned to be addressed. Look for a fresh coat of paint within the next couple weeks. I had hoped that the lattice work and live plants surrounding the carport had taken away some of the "cheesiness ", and we're still tweaking the hours around sales patterns. Unfortunately, however, don't count on seeing any fresh blacktop around the drive through any time soon. While we own the business, we rent the property, and we have not yet found ourselves to the level of profitability to where we can consider such a significant investment into someone else's property. I will however spend some time there this weekend re-distributing the gravel cover so the bumps and dips are reduced or eliminated. Thank you for a very good idea on the secondary sign for the drive through. I am awaiting competitive quotes from several local graphic design shops as a direct result of your post. And the friendly New York barista? That’s my lovely wife…say hi to her for me. Since we bought this business, I barely see her anymore. ;-)  (Aug 2, 2007 | post #10)
