McCain, Obama get tough, personal in final debate
If you had actually checked it out on snopes.com (instead of just claiming you had) then you would know that Obama was, in fact, born in Hawaii, and is a United States citizen by birth. (3 hrs ago | post #161)

McCain campaign accuses ACORN of undermining election integrity...
Exactly. Unless Mickey Mouse actually shows up at the polls and tries to vote, it is not voter fraud. (3 hrs ago | post #122)

McCain campaign accuses ACORN of undermining election integrity...
About that case in which Obama, as a young lawyer, represented ACORN -Obama represented ACORN in a successful lawsuit alongside the U.S. Department of Justice against the state of Illinois to force state compliance with a federal voting access law. For his work helping enforce the law, called “Motor Voter,” Obama received the IVI-IPO Legal Eagle Award in 1995. Are you saying the US Dept of Justice was a party to voter fraud? ( “For United States of America: Deval L. Patrick, Assistant Attorney General, James B. Burns, United States Attorney, Elizabeth Johnson, Barry H. Weinberg, Tricia A. Tingle, Peter A. Hernandez, Attorneys, Voting Section, Civil Rights Division, Department of Justice, Washington, DC….For Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, Barack Obama, Esq., Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland, Chicago, Illinois, Steve Bachmann, Esq., ACORN, Granger, Indiana.” [ACORN v. Edgar, United States District Court, Northern District, Illinois, No. 95 C 174]) (23 hrs ago | post #112)
Michelle Obama: Families struggling? 'My husband gets it'
The unemployed benefit from police and fire protection, safe water, roads, public education, and so on - a lot more than just unemployment and retirement benefits. What, about that, is so hard for you to understand? (Yesterday | post #298)
Michelle Obama: Families struggling? 'My husband gets it'
ACORN hires people and pays them by the hour to register voters. It seems some of those employees were perpetrating fraud on ACORN when they filled in voter registration forms with fake names. (Yesterday | post #293)
Michelle Obama: Families struggling? 'My husband gets it'
The poster stated that he or she did not believe in using tax dollars to benefit people who do not work. The unemployed, along with people who are retired and people who are too young to work, benefit from government services funded by tax dollars - hence, my question. (Yesterday | post #292)
Michelle Obama: Families struggling? 'My husband gets it'
As I said, ACORN is required BY LAW to turn in ALL the registration forms it receives, even the ones that are fraudulent. Because of this requirement, ACORN separates out and flags the registration forms that appear to be phony. What else should ACORN do? Try to suppress the votes of eligible citizens just because they are poor, members of minorities or likely to vote Democratic? (Yesterday | post #286)

Michelle Obama: Families struggling? 'My husband gets it'
ACORN is required BY LAW to turn in ALL voter registration forms it receives. Well aware that some of the forms are phony (filled in with names like "Mickey Mouse"), ACORN actually separates out the apparently phony forms, and tags them, so the authorities can more easily identify them. That hardly sounds like fraud. Moreover, it isn't voter fraud when a paid worker turns in a registration form filled in with "Mickey Mouse" - it would be voter fraud only if "Mickey Mouse" turned up at the polls on election day. This is all right wing hype. (Yesterday | post #280)

So, let me get this straight - you do not believe that tax dollars should pay for police, fire fighters, infrastructure, public schools, clean water, health research, national defense.... (Yesterday | post #279)
