Occasionally, a tiny glimpse of truth will escape through the net, which gives an indication of exactly how tightly controlled and manipulated the corporate media truly is. One of the best lies of the GOP is that there is a "liberal media bias". The fact that NBC is owned by GE, the single largest defense contractor in the world, and CBS is owned by Sony, and Fox is, well, Fox, should be a strong indicator of the true motives of the corporate media. They act in concert to advance a single agenda, and that is the eventual corporate fascist takeover of the planet. They feed us garbage and useless diversions (including, unfortunately, many of the topics covered in this forum), and never once manage to cover any of the real issues that affect the lives of average Americans. The exportation of our production base, and the globalization of all industry supports this fact. The European Union, the NAFTA, CAFTA and other anti-American trade deals signed by BOTH parties, as well as the total lack of enforcement of immigration policies supports this fact. The devaluation of the US Dollar, and the switching over to Euros by many financial markets supports this fact. The stripping of civil liberties, including some of the most basic freedoms enjoyed by Americans since the Revolution, itself, including the 4th, 5th and 8th Amendments of the Bill of Rights, and the constant media assault of looming "terrorism " and the need for stronger "security ", even that provided by foreign-born Blackwater agents (see: Katrina) supports this fact. The fact that with the Federal takeover of Fannie and Freddie, over HALF of all private property in the US is now owned by the PRIVATELY OWNED Federal Reserve Bank, which already owns our currency, supports this fact. The fact that we went from being the largest creditor nation in the world to the largest debtor nation in the world since 1981, and that debt is owed primarily to the Saudis and the Chinese, and that the US government is now $9,000,000,000,000 .00 in debt supports this fact. Although the fact that the democratic party is heavily influenced by these corporate monsters is sickening as it is frightening, the GOP supports them outright, and without shame. This is why I support Obama. Because, knowing where he came from, I can only hope he is playing the game now, to lure the typical American idiot to gain his vote, and that when he assumes office, he might work to make real changes (disbanding the Federal Reserve System and establishing a metal-based currency that is controlled by the government, rather than the government being controlled by the owners of the currency, as it is now, should be the first step). Honestly, if he IS somehow elected, I cannot see him making it to a second term... JFK tried to disband the Fed and pull out of a needless war, too, if you recall. Well, living in a border town (Buffalo, NY) my entire life, I have noticed that the Canadian news agencies were by and large, much more objective and impartial in their delivery, especially regarding news from the States.
