Whats the best careers for the Morristown Area?

I don't think Morristown has many careers per se. I do think its a great little town to own your own business. Some will think I am crazy but I believe it to be true. Think of something people need and fill the void....  (Nov 13, 2009 | post #10)

I still don't understand why property taxes aren't used for such things as Schools, Police, FIre, Trash COllection and so on. I know everyone hates higher taxes but on the same token iI believe they are very cheap thus giving us a poor town. Not quite sure how it works in Morristown but its not as good as it could be here.. It will never be Miami but our schools weren't as poor as the ones here... It makes no sense to me at all.  (Nov 8, 2009 | post #15)

New bar again at the Silver Bullet

Being from Miami the commercialness doesn't bother me its the people who post idiocy and believe it or not creates alot of bad karma for unsuspecting businesses.. Morristown needs to be spiced up a little not too much but a little would be fabulous. I would love to see more restaurants with finer foods....and dress codes.. Hee Hee.  (Nov 8, 2009 | post #9)

New bar again at the Silver Bullet

New businesses need all the positive energy they can possibly get! This is very bad on so many levels......We should be hoping they will do well. Who ever they are... I wish them the best of luck in their venture.  (Nov 8, 2009 | post #7)

found beagles

Will the local newspapers give you a free spot for found pets? If not you may want to ask if they will... Best of Luck. And you are doing a beautiful deed.  (Nov 8, 2009 | post #12)

walmart's layaway

From a corporate standpoint it is a waste of time and energy. Think of the extra employees to have to sort the boxes, then the extra paper. Then the employees who had to fish the boxes of those who ACTUALY picked up their boxes. I read somewhere a long time ago that Walmart was putting over 60% of the merchandise back on the shelves for the no-shows. And then they still gave people back their lousy 10%.. Walmart should have kept the 10% as a restocking fee. Ahyhow this is no good and when the rest of us shopped the Lay Away line was just in the way.. Miami had this and the line would literally go all the way to the fron of the store.. Crazy if you ask me.  (Nov 8, 2009 | post #20)

Yes this place does have What I call the FArmers Market not sure if its correct but its the 1st Monday of each month. Cumberland/Buffalo Trail after Cherokee Drive on Left hand side going towards Cherokee Park. I love to go and just see what people are selling... Sometime we buy sometimes we don;t... Very fun Indeed. I always wondered how to sell there though!  (Nov 8, 2009 | post #16)
