Maybe that is part of the problem, to many people bitching and not enough trying to help. If one cares about their community, they won't wait for a phone call...the community will be what the people make it, not just a hand full of elected officials. It used to be safe to let your kids walk down the street, even at night. Now you cant be sure of there safety in your own yard during the day. The worse two drugs around was marijuana and alcohol, which is mild compared to what you see people strung out on these days. You used to not even have to worry about locking your house or your vehicle because you knew no one would bother anything, now if you want them safe you need survelance and alarms! Used to be able to trust people in the town, but not anymore...most people used to work for a living and enjoyed doing it, now they are selling dope and hooking. I know there is still a lot of good people in Austin, I encourage all of you to band together and look out for each other and each others property, take a stand aganist the crime.
