Ruben Navarrette: ICE enforcer just doing his job
Ruben Navarette cant make up his mind, as to whose side he's on. His opinions in the local Hispanic paper , he's a sympathizer to the Illegal's. And now to the above statement he's "Hats off to ICE". Perhaps he's pondering running for something in the near future. Everybodys speaking what they think the group at the time wants to hear. We all know , that they are going to do just as well as they Damn well please once elected. And we will be stuck for another how many years, till everyone gets enough. (Nov 1, 2010 | post #1)
Yes against Sanctuary Cities, Yes against Illegal Immigration (way past up to there with that) Didnt vote for Obama Not Democrat nor Republican. The two parties should be dropped and the people vote for the person that they believe will do what they say. That being Representing the peoples wishes. All this Dem. & Rep. does is divide us and keep a stupid argument going with the blame finger always up. (Nov 1, 2010 | post #31)
Maybe thats because California is on over load. Havent you ever heard Welcome to California, now go home. California has more than enough businesses, the land developers have already used up more natural land than we can spare. I'm a native Californian and I hate that there is no time of day that the freeways arent gridlock. go start a business somewhere its needed. (Oct 31, 2010 | post #16)

Or how about a natural disaster, Hurricane Katrina. All the people that remained in their homes with their guns to protect it from the looters, burglars and robbers. What they got was No Knock entry from the cops, and confiscated their guns. (Oct 26, 2010 | post #111)
Laughing my azzz off. That was too cool. loved it. (Oct 26, 2010 | post #110)
Why own a gun? Because when seconds count,,, the police are only minutes away. Why a gun? Its easier than carrying the police with me. (Oct 26, 2010 | post #108)
Then they might as well ban Spoons, Forks, Knives, bottles, rocks , sticks, and lastly cut off everyones hands. Guns dont kill people, people do. There were no guns in the day of Cain and Able, yet one brother killed the other by smashing his skull with a rock. (Oct 26, 2010 | post #106)
Man dies, woman injured, while trying to steal copper tub...
Lets get real here, the homeless around me, chose to live in the fields in tents or whatever, form their cities and even name them. Everyone of them all get Social Security or General Relief, rather than use it for a home, its spent on Dope. Not food, clothes or shelter, because that money is got from standing on the freeway offramps with a homeless sign and a hand outstretched, or panhandled near the entrance to a store, gas station etc. The speed is what keeps these tweakers awake out and about all night all day, working their buttz off for the recyclables. Dang by the time all the walking and digging and running the chance of catching some disease or sickness from playing in someone elses filth, is the big payoff really easier than just getting some type of job? All this HooRah about comparing themselves to the real homeless in downtown LA, is what makes decent folks feel bad should they tell them to beat it. (Oct 26, 2010 | post #133)

All too common is the practice of scouring the neighborhoods all hours during the night digging in trash cans. Rolling noisey shopping carts, removed from the store that supplies them for their customers. The sound of glass banging against glass, the stopping of aluminum cans on the ground to compact the load. Never mind the working class that are trying to sleep, because they have to go to work. Dogs that normally bark to alert you there are people outside your home can be heard up and down the street. Warning their owners there is someone out by your car, thats got a trash can shoved up against it and sets off the alarm. The lid of the trash can banging on someones vehicle. After they have throughly ransacked one set of cans, time to move on to the next door neighbors set of cans. I have watched at least 5 trucks with the metal fencing set in the back for side boards drop off 3-4 people at one end of a street and pick them up at another street 2 blocks over. Drive to another block and start the entire procedure over. Being a woman, and I live alone, I own a dog, words can not express how uneasy and unsafe this activity makes me feel in the same place I grew up in for 48 yrs. If thats one good example why all the normal homeowners have up and sold their homes and moved to somewhere the laws are enforced and the residents wont tolerate it. (Oct 26, 2010 | post #132)

The recycling trend has gotten way out of hand. Every week on trash night the trashers come throughj in droves from dusk till dawn. Stealing from the cans that are the recycle cans. The trash company our city council chose cost more than the old company. So not only are we home owners paying a premium price for this service, the thieves get it seperated for them. And the cops, they could care less about enforcing the no scavenging laws. The children are the ones who really got the short end on this. Well perhaps a more responsible relative will get custody. What I am wondering is, where did the money from Welfare for the kids go to? I would answer that but it is something that isnt nice, and if you cant say something nice. (Oct 26, 2010 | post #131)
