Former State Treasure Begins Prison Sentence Today

That's right, according to the newspaper reports. So this does sound fair to me.  (May 29, 2008 | post #15)

Please read the entire thread. Then you might understand the comments. I was asked about my education by a rude person. I was responding to the question.  (May 29, 2008 | post #62)

Two 15-Year-Olds Arrested in Gang-Related Killing

Maybe a chain gang is a good idea, especially in SC summer heat.  (May 29, 2008 | post #93)

Then the best thing you can do is try to influence kids in your community to turn their backs on gangs, and instead try to get an education so they have good opportunities in life.  (May 28, 2008 | post #55)

It would be nice to adress someone with manners. Since you don't have ANY I won't waste anymore time on you. I actually have two degrees, one of which is English lit so I know how to read very well. You are an insulting jerk who isn't smart enough to have an intelligent conversation about the facts. I have tried to express my point of view in a nice, informative way while you have been insulting. I will carry on discussions with people who aren't jerks .  (May 28, 2008 | post #55)

You too are paying for other's healthcare out of your pocket, EJF, that is if you pay taxes. I would like low income smokers who take from the system through ER visits to put something back into the system. If you think smoking doesn't increase your risk of cancer, heart disease, and periodontal disease, (I know because I am a dental hygienist and see smokers everyday who are going to loose all of their teeth because they smoke) then you are living in a fantasy world. I also see teens in my dental practice who smoke and mama doesn't know. If we could stop some teens from starting that would be worth it to me. I have had a few patients over the years (smokers just like I used to be) who developed mouth or throat cancer, and all of them said they wished they had never started! Do you know how disfiguring that type of cancer can be? I have seen it. I am a John McCain Republican, but I don't like seeing people's lives ruined by cancers and perio disease that can be prevented!! If you think that makes me a liberal, then call me names. I do know the health impact. A cigarette tax won't make people quit. You have to do that for yourself, no one can make you do it. But I don't want to pay ER visits for smokers who don't have ins. Let them pay a little of the bill. And I want to find a way to discourage kids. Do you have a better solution?  (May 28, 2008 | post #50)

I'm not a Democrat, but you must be a smoker.  (May 28, 2008 | post #49)

But this goes on so much in the South, that I wonder, will it ever change? Let's hope so or history will continue to repeat itself. You are a man after my own heart, Fed Up.  (May 28, 2008 | post #136)

Bravo! This is very well written and thought out. Why can't everyone see this? Because the liberals have their own agenda.  (May 28, 2008 | post #135)

218th Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

There are a lot of us, Shovelhead who thank you for your service, and all the others who serve. Some of these younger people don't know much about the horrible way vets were treated after Viet Nam, but I do and it was horrible. It is beyond me how people justified that bad treatment against their fellow Americans.  (May 28, 2008 | post #9)

Hi Wheelies, Ya'll don't know me, but I read your posts from time to time. I have been reading about the new set up for WLTX, so I went in and signed up. Well later I was looking for some news in Greenville so I went to the Greenville News Online. I signed up, and something weird happened. The profile that I filled out for the new WLTX site was on the Greenville News site. I'm a little spooked by it. The two sites look the same, however and ask for the same info. If any of you give this a try let me know what happens. Thanks  (May 27, 2008 | post #17431)
