I agree! There is more to be a good coach than just winning games. I know that is a lot of it, but also alot of it how much the kids improve over the season. I have seen how the kids respect Coach Tim and to me that is alot. I do not think that any of the baseball coaches around here are Major League material, but I do think we have some good ones around here. Regardless of what league they coach for! I think that the kids should have the option of what they want to play. USSSA is a great program and it gives the kids what they need, more time on the field. Cap Ripkin was at one time a good program but I agree has went down the tubes here lately. I think it all amounts to the fact hat we need new management out there. I also think that kids who play USSSA should not be chastized for wanting to play it and Cal Ripkin. The goal is to allow kids to better themselves by being involved in a sport. This builds character and keeps the kids out of trouble. It should be about the kids! It should, but isn't! (Tuesday Aug 5 | post #5)
