You are bringing up stuff over years all these have happened in it's been less than one year, and as I have said these people have been forced on our town, more than 1200 of them all so these 10 churches and One Morgan County can keep on getting our gov. money in grants and also so Cargill can put more money in their pockets. And according to the US State Dept. at least 80% of them are not legal, guess that doesn't matter to you tho. And the 5 states that lots of gov. fed and state money, they are broke, NY Calif. Texas, Florida and Minnesota, and guess what state is 6th on that list, Colorado. Why are these states broke? because they are paying out too much money in welfare checks, food stamps, healthcare etc. everything these people get handed to them, our money, why does our gov. do sooo much for people that hate the U.S. and it does sooo little for our service guys, when they arrive home they don't get a $300.00 check like the Somalians get when they get here - plus the church gets $1000.00 is suppose to match this and they give out $300.00, gee what happens to the $700.00? Plus gov. grants go to the org. that help these people fill out the forms to apply to come here, more tax payers money. Then the help the churches give them is help filling out forms for welfare, food stamps, reduced or free healthcare, LEAP, childcare and the list goes on. Now they want us to pay for English classes and driving lessons, why should we have to pay for all this for them? It wasn't easy for any of our families when they came here, and that's a big reason why American citizens are proud (not arrogant) anytime a person is given something it's never valued or cherished as much as if they had earned it. Why should living here be so easy for them? Not only easy, we are paying their way to get here and paying their way afterwards too. I don't think our gov. should be giving billions of taxpayers money to churches, they have turned this into big business and that's on these peoples backs, is that right?  (Monday Nov 16 | post #44)

The reason these people are brought to the US is our State dept. pays for their plane tickets, and there are org. like One Morgan County in Kenya - they fill out forms for the Somalians to come here, get paid for this, It's kind of like ACORN, they - the 10 churches and over 400 non-profit org. get gov. grants to do this work. OMC has 13 board members, who probably all get paid, esp. Brenda. All of these org. faith-based and others have made money from gee our gov. progams, Look at Dept. of Human Ser. web site-refugee resettlement program millions of taxpyers dollars given to these non profits, they get paid for each one they bring here, so guess what? Plus Cargill gets lots of tax credits - look at Dept. of Labors web sites, they give Cargill a $9000.00 tax credit for each refugee they hire, so guess what?  (Saturday Nov 14 | post #33)

Yes the US is a country built on immigrants and most were treated pretty bad, Germans, Russins, Irish esp. the black people. I think this is a good arguement against these people coming here the way they are, let me explain, when given something it is not valued and cherished, Americans are proud not arrogant as some say. I say we are a proud country one that wasn't easy building and defending, the reason we are so proud is because to get here we & our families and friend worked hard and fought hard for Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness and for freedom. So why on earth are we making it so easy for these people? Not only that we are paying the bill. My country is worth defending and I would give my life for others freedom, Why do we want to give this away so easily? Most people worked hard and fought and died to make this country great and I resent the fact that 10 church org. and over 400 other non-profits have turned this regufee resettlement program into big business, If I want to donate my money to a church and for a program it will be one that I choose, not one that is forced on me by the Dept. of Human Services and the State Dept. they give grants that I have added up to 6.3 billion $ in the first 6 months on 2008. Shut this money off and would any I repeat, would any of these churches or non-profits be using their own money to "help" these people from Somali? ? ? ? Answer that .  (Saturday Nov 14 | post #41)

I used my name in the editoral I wrote and Times published, and it's cost me business but also gained other customers so it's a wash. But the people against my petition have louder voices and gov. grant money behind them. Plus people like believing lies, like the one told by 2 high school girls, that I want people to sign the petition before I'll sell them a drink. Or like I told 2 people that girls & women should carry hair spray and lighter - anything can be used as a weapon, if I had a teenage girl I'd be teaching her all kinds of ways to defend herself. This has become a money making business to these 10 churches and over 400 other org. the gov. calls contractors. They all get gov. grants, Dept.of Human Services gave out 6.2 billion dollars of tax payers dollars in the refugee resettlement program. The State Dept. pays for their plane tickets, a loan, only 1/4 have paid this back, but when it gets paid back, the money doesn't go back to the state dept. (us) it;s paid back to the churches, they get to keep it. The Catholic church got 1.78 billion dollars in grants in this program. So I'm trying to start my own non profit, cause fighting this has cost me lots out of my own pocket and I need more funds and help to start our program to shut this money off, get Cargill's customers on our side and write letters (faxed) to Congress  (Saturday Nov 14 | post #32)

The Times has reported on but about 5% of the accidents, a college girl was going on a ride around with FMPD and they went to accident, a Somalian had run into clear inside a house, nothing in paper, 2 other houses 2 buildings, a tree, ran a car off the road by Walmart into the ditch. Plus 2 rapes, they claim hasn't happened, I know relatives of the 13 yr. old and the sister if the 56 yr. came in and signed my petition the day after, think I will believe her over the paper, maybe the cops aren't releasing this to paper, but in talk with them, the paper said "we can't put all the accidents in the paper. And they are afraid if people hear how this man killed this woman, people will come unglued, and they don't want us yelling at them and actually doing something to get them out of our town. There has been much more than just the few accidents that have made it into the Times, most 95% haven't. they have run into 3 houses, 2 buildings forced a car into the ditch by Walmart, have raped a 13 yr old and a 56 yr. old woman, ran into a tree beside my coffee shop, could not get anyone at Times to get out of their chairs. This was 1 week after the 3yr. old boy was killed at Baskin Robbins cause an immigrant ran into the shop,& there was a woman here with her 1 week old baby. As long as our gov. has grants thru the Dept. of Human servies for these 10 churches and over 400 other org, like One Morgan County the flow of Somalians will not stop, these people are making money off of the refugees. Look it up on their web site, billions of tax payers money are going to the refugee resettlement program, so much so seperation of church & state. Oh by the way an honor killing involves what?? It's an awful thought of what he did to this woman. And that's exactly why they don't want it released that she was OJ'd, and he confessed.  (Saturday Nov 14 | post #37)
