wow no need to get so defensive....i think she was speaking for people in general that the wreck would be with the others the rest of their lives...i doubt very seriously she was trying to speak for the "teenage nation"...but you should probably try to keep one thing in mind...WE ALL were teenagers at one time and even though the times may change...being a teen does not change....we all went through that "era", so to speak....and even though (as i said) times may change....the experience of being a teen is the same...no matter what decade it may have been, or will be. seems all she was trying to do (and you missed it in your fit of "i am teen, hear me roar") was extend a little courtesy and condolences to those that were left behind. so in some respect...all of us that made it through our teen years...and lived to tell of it, have an even more unique perspective of what it was like to be a teen (hence the old saying "been there, done that") perhaps you should get off the "high horse" and accept her kind words for what they were.....just kind words, and not in fact...an attack on your self imposed "teen sovereignty" grow up little girl and learn a little humility and graciousness. i am not saying that jenny and jim know more than a doctor would, but...any person who has a child that comes down with a "dreaded disease" learns everything that is out there on it, and sometimes...more than most doctors know about (outside of specialists)i know if my child had autism, or downs syndrome for example... i would have learned up on everything about it so i would know how to communicate more effectively with a doctor so he would not have to "dumb down" or have to try to explain everything in "laymen terms". maybe i am a "rare breed" but i do believe most everyone who has a child that came down with something life altering, would do the same thing as well. imho (Monday Nov 9 | post #1229)

i have said it before and it begs saying again...if you did nothing wrong, esp with a accusation of that magnitude...you fight it to the death...this bs excuse of "saving time in my professional career by settling" is just that ...bs. i don't care if it would bankrupt me...if i were accused of that horrid crime i would fight it all the way if innocent. it just makes you look guilty when you settle. it says to me "i can't win this cause i'm guilty". now...as a musician.. he was an innovator and a genius, he practically invented the music video, and brought choreography to a larger stage...but all that "past glory" should never erase what he became...whether or not he was found guilty in a court of law (Monday Nov 9 | post #7589)
