CHANTIX - PROBLEMS AFTER QUITTING OR WEANING

Hello again..Well I am on my 2nd day of Chantix..I am kinda looking forward to having some of those "crazy dreams" that I have heard about...if they are better than the crazy ones I already have that aren't Chantix induced it should be a wild ride! I guess it's still a little too early to determine how I am going to do, but, I am going to try to stick with it and find out what being a "non-smoker " is like..that in itself should be a trip...I know being an addict I am going to have to stay one step ahead of my crazy thinking and keep things in check...so...right now..this minute I am doing ok...I will keep everyone posted on my progress and try to get thru this with my sense of humor intact if nothing else!  (Jul 19, 2007 | post #880)

Thanks to all for the advice and kind words..I think that when I was reading some of the posts and saw the word "withdrawl " I flipped out...Nothing unusual for me..but..I had been so looking forward to starting the Chantix and was feeling pretty excited about all the good things that I had heard about it...I let myself get scared and now I am back on track..Viki made a good point..as with just about anything,you never hear the good things..just the bad..I should have taken that into consideration..I am off to fill my prescription...wis h me luck and I will keep you posted on how I do...I am sure I will be around enough to make a nusiance of myself..Thanks again..  (Jul 17, 2007 | post #788)

I am starting Chantix today..I have to admit that I am somewhat nervous,but also excited to get the process going...if anyone can give me any tips or advice I would REALLY appreciate it...I read some posts that have made me a little bit hesitant to get on it..the side effects and the withdrawl...I didnt know anything about a withdrawl process..I am a recovering addict..A year clean..and the word withdrawl scares the hell out of me!  (Jul 17, 2007 | post #779)

Wells Suspended 7 Games, Fined by MLB -- South Florida Sun-Sent...

From the looks of Wells he hasn't been able to get under much of anything for quite some time...with the exception of the McDonald's arch's. He looks more like a fat slob than he does a baseball player.I for one won't have a problem waving bye bye to him...good riddance!  (Jul 17, 2007 | post #4)

Well it would have never happened if he had been fired the first time that he did it..So, actually the blame lies with all of those who knew he had done this at least one other time..I feel very bad for the family...and in most cases you should be able to have faith that our justice system will take care of it and do the right thing...but so much politics have corrupted alot of the courts nowdays people feel that they have to look out for themselves..they say we shouldn't use vigilante justice....well then....lets get back to innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent! I guess I didn't quite word that right...I didn't mean for anyone to think that you said he needed to find another job...I said that...What I actually meant was that I agreed with what you were saying about the headline being uncalled for..Sorry for the misunderstanding.. .I am the one that was saying the mean things about Sheldon..I guess being a woman I get one or two days a week to do some "man bashing"...Ju st kiddin'...It's just very rarely do I find people that are as passionate about baseball as I am and I guess I got a little carried away...I will try to remain calm for the rest of the day..  (Jul 5, 2007 | post #17)

Couldn't have said it better myself Barry Fleckmann. For the first time I think I might be at a loss for words..and that doesn't happen often. I don't know what team your a fan of..you may just be like alot of other people and hate the Yankee's because of what they represent and try to teach..that money can buy anything..Look at the money spent..and what do they have to show for it..a bunch of guys that hate each other..they aren't a team...that's alot of the problem....They should take a lesson from us Cleveland Indians....small market teams are just as competitive..and alot more respectful..Our boys aren't afraid to earn their money...most nightly webgems will vouch for that.  (Jul 5, 2007 | post #10)

What a thing to have to wake up and see first thing in the morning! You asked "What was Jake Westbrooks problem"...So , I ask.."What is YOUR problem"..The Indians are better this season than they have been since 97..Do you even watch baseball Sheldon? With a name like that you should be working in a library and living with your mother..I am a woman and I know more about sports than you do! Apparently you just write about the Indians you don't watch them..I agree with Tribe Fan..you need to apologize and maybe find a job you are better suited for...I think the Yankees might be hiring.  (Jul 5, 2007 | post #6)
