Bidwell Park disc golf agreements gets first look

You guys want everybody to kiss your hams, but you dopes can't follow the rules. Your position of being poor little victims hardly jibes with reality. The existence of the 32 course is one issue, but the pack of lies you people tried to dump on the citizenry is another. A lot of disc golfers admit they think they should be above the law. A lot of disc golfers do not think the course is part of the park. They think it is their party zone and anybody who thinks the law needs to be enforced should be beaten or killed. You have no moral high ground here. You are just a cheap hood.  (7 hrs ago | post #16)

Movement under way in California to ban divorce

I am not done pushing, friend. My views follow fairness and common decency. You are a bigot and an idiot for denying other people's civil rights.  (7 hrs ago | post #75)

Letter: Council throwing its weight around

Wouldn't a small minded view about growth be to use Wal Mart as an economic model? If people are serious about growth, they should stop wasting time on Wal Mart and get serious about getting real job creation in Butte and Glen counties. Before you little brains start up on how we can't get manufacturing here, just go take a long walk on a short pier. Your commitment to quitting is disgusting.  (7 hrs ago | post #2)

Bomb scare leads to theater evacuation

Sorry, I did not answer a question. My player will accept a computer monitor cable or an S cable (good for standard DVD's). Some will take DIVI or HDMI for high def. They are easy to hook up. For my outside set up I use a small book shelf stereo I bought on Craigslist for $25 bucks. Inside, I use my computer speakers or my home stereo. In a dark room or at night outside, it is a remarkable experience. Your grand kids will love it and they will discover the lost art of shadow puppets.  (Tuesday | post #33)

Lighten up. Why would I want to come to a meeting? Have I ever said anything about being for or against the course? I visit the course sometimes and give my truthful report of what I see and how it does not jibe with the assertions of the 32 proponents. I think the campaign took the low road in trashing people who have busted their butts to make our community a better place. I have voiced my opinion course users should follow the laws and rules when using the site. I think a lot of the course users feel it is their party zone. I photographed a bunch of beer debris a few weeks ago and the sign clearly says alcohol is banned. Some of the course users are against abiding the law. Right?  (Tuesday | post #11)

DVD's look great, but my SVGA projector will not display a 1080p signal. If you have a Blu Ray, you will have to change the signal (mine will accept 1080i). There are 1080p projectors, but they are pricey. I would go for the lumens. I have a DLP but there are LCD projectors too. Do some research because there are pros and cons to both. I wouldn't plan on replacing a television with a projector because of the cost of the bulb, but they are great for movie night. You do not have to go top of the line, but get a real one. The little office models are great and usually cheaper than the home theater models, but again, do some research. I have a real screen, but I also use a piece of 1/4" hardboard painted with Kelly Moore Plymouth Grey. Also consider having to have the projector back 10' or more for around an 8 foot screen. There is some adjustment on the device. Bulb life is usually listed as 2,000 to 4,000 hours. I have had mine for a few years and have not hit 1,000 hours. It is beyond me why more people do not have them. Think of all the old movies you have only seen on the small screen. Check out an old Hitchcock film on a projector. Pretty darn cool. Bolt looked darn good too.  (Tuesday | post #31)

Fire guts downtown sandwich shop, damages restaurant

If any of the business owners need a hand with clean up, I am free this weekend. I have helped clean out burned buildings before. Posters-Maybe this is not the best time to trash these people. I would remind some of you Tres Hombres seems to do great business and a lot of people are employed there.  (Tuesday | post #34)

The idea is not funny or clever. The reality is we have to suffer with a **** majority who think their disgusting Christian ideals should be forced on everyone.  (Tuesday Dec 1 | post #7)

the url is tigerdirect.com. The projector I mentioned will give you a very high quality image. The brightness (2600 lumens) is great, but you will still want to watch in a dark room. The HD projectors are out, but most of those cost more. The big thing is the brightness. On a DLP, go for 2000 lumens or more.  (Tuesday Dec 1 | post #28)

I am still not clear if the course belongs to the city or to Gregg and Lon. It almost seems the course belongs more to some than to others. Kooky.  (Tuesday Dec 1 | post #1)

I was just having fun. I like the idea of the Pageant and the movies they show, but the quality of the experience is pretty lame. The last movie I saw there was Be Kind Rewind and I could not understand what they were saying.  (Monday Nov 30 | post #25)

Does not the idea of "a fair price" change when you sell goods made by slave labor to people like you who are willing to screw over their own country so the can get said "fair price". We should put tariffs on that junk and severely penalize the bastards when they put melamine in baby formula. That was hardly an isolated incident. None of this really has a lot to do with the idea of getting businesses to locate to our area or of the idea we spend to much time on Wal Mart.  (Sunday Nov 29 | post #41)
