it's not a problem to cancel a letterman appearance but the way it was done is what irks me.mccain calls him up and instead of telling the truth he hands him the story that he's flying to washington to help fix the economy. which is fine if he had actually done that instead of being down the street being interviewed by katie couric. probably trying to do damage control on courics interview with palin. so here we see mccain outright lying and showing he is putting his campaign ahead of the country as well or he would have forgone that interview and actually got on a plane to washington that night instead of the next morning. so as you see the issue here is not letterman but mccain, and mccain must be a moron to realise letterman would'nt find out his bullshit lie since katie couric works for cbs as well. mr. "i'm a big warhero/pow" mccain could'nt even man up enough to tell the truth and tell letterman he had a more important interview to make. and republicans always claim to be so moral, love seeing that integrity and work...
