Two people hit within 12 hours, both on bicycles on Keyser? Hmmm. Where's Barney Fife? (May 31, 2008 | post #9)
It happened last night, the boy on the bike (18 yrs. old) is in ICU at NPH. He's there because they're worried about brain swelling. The (black) guy that hit him was driving like a bat out of hell going west on Keyser. Said he was late for work at McDonald's. Doubt it. The whole time the cops were working the accident, he was on his phone, saying "I got to go, I'm late for work". Didn't seem to be too worried he just hit a kid on a bike. Hopefully they arrested him, but with these "Mayberry ", "Keystone " cops we've got, they probably let him go. (May 31, 2008 | post #6)
Is Dixie Youth Baseball Fair to your Kids?
Then somebody else would be complaining about it "not being fair"... (Apr 21, 2008 | post #3)
Did they actually DO any time? I thought they copped a plea on each other & the city employee, avoiding any "time". I may be wrong, though. (Apr 21, 2008 | post #22)
Do the toilets flush backwards down there? That's where I do my best thinking, that might screw up my head. I don't think I could deal with the swirl going backwards... (Apr 16, 2008 | post #4)

Funny thing is, alot of the people around here that bash drug users do so while they're on the phone to their doctor (dealer) about their refill, or on the way to pick up their refill of "meds". If not, they're on the way to pick up their big half-gallon of whiskey, a few cases of beer, or a few liters of wine. They see no parallel here. They're doctors themselves, or lawyers, judges, bank presidents, nurses & business owners. And addicts just the same... (Apr 14, 2008 | post #60)
ANOTHER SHOOTING OVER THE WEEK-END
Is the shoulder close to the leg? (Apr 13, 2008 | post #5)
My point being that it's really, really stupid to spend so much money on a hunk of junk... And, does the money come from "legal" or "illegal " activities? Does the logo have negative connotations, ie- "Just look for the M&M's car for your hookup", etc. (Apr 13, 2008 | post #12)
$500 car, $5,000 stereo, $10,000 in paint, tires & wheels (24's or something idiotic like that), but still driving a $500 car. WOW! I'm impressed... (Apr 13, 2008 | post #6)
Good for you! As one who's been clean & sober for 20 years (except a couple of beers now & again!), I know it's always harder for OTHERS to get over it. Especially in Natchitoches. People still think & say the same things of me that they said over 20 years ago in this town. I'm actually surprised that I haven't seen my name on here, as I've mentioned previously. I don't even know you, but it's good to hear that at least you're trying to change & make your life better. Remember, it is YOUR life & we all only get one here on this earth... GOOD LUCK!
