Things change

Marriage is still not a right under civil law, even if you think it is. It can be denied for a few reasons, depending on the society you live in. Age, possible disease, incest, etc. "There is nothing immoral about love and committment." I'm sure NAMBLA, polygamists, etc would agree with you.  (Thursday Nov 19 | post #10)

Marriage is not a right. Therefore putting restrictions on it, doesn't mean rights are denied.  (Wednesday Nov 18 | post #1)

Harbor District Endorsements

People have a misplaced trust on what can, or can't be done by a harbor commissioner. The trail and rail isn't under the control of harbor commissioners. Bottom line is voting for anyone besides Marks or Hauser, will tie up the county until it decays and is a complete loss, of jobs, unless your working for the government, on welfare, or some illegal activity.  (Sunday Nov 1 | post #12)

Yes, his true intentions is to actually do everything he can to create jobs. Even while campaigning, Marks is trying to bring businesses in to the area.  (Sunday Nov 1 | post #9)

Ash? You've got to be kidding me. He was part of the eco hotel thing, which hasn't seen a single shovel turned. As far as Wilson, you've seen his best efforts. It just isn't good enough on the job front. Vote Hauser and Marks. Hauser has worked long and hard for this community, giving us the Arcata Marsh, ban on off shore drilling of our coast, and many other helpful legislation. He has personally helped many nonprofits. He has a broad collation of environmental and union support.  (Sunday Nov 1 | post #5)

NEC responses to stone throwing

They are an issue, if they scream, and sue, forcing everybody else to clean up. Before SN put up the fences, there was no way to stop people from going on it. Nobody was saying you didn't have to do more cleanup because the public didn't have access.  (Oct 22, 2009 | post #10)
