I was having IT Band issues for up to a year before the tkr and while it did stop some after the tkr surgery it continues to come back. Yea, was told to stretch as well and has never worked. (Jun 19, 2012 | post #1499)
Two months ago today I had a tkr of my left knee and today I am riding my bike two or more miles a day and walking, sleeping and functioning fine. Yes, pain after surgery was real, rehab was very painful and tough, and occasionally I have nerve zingers that go from my hip join to the knee but not for very long. My heart goes out to all those who have been having problems and issues with their tkr surgeries. I for one am one of the success stories and would recommend the tkr for anyone who has a serious need to do so. (Jun 19, 2012 | post #1498)
I moved to this area you are talking about about three years ago from another part of the country and you are 100% correct. I was shocked and still am shocked as to what people are like here and how they live. The worst part is that when you try to tell them the rest of the universe doesnt act or live like them and they are 40 years behind the rest of the nation they act as though they are the right ones and everyone else is wrong and bad. They defend their being willing to settle for being average, slow and uneducated. They view the local two year college as a major university. Being the way they are is one thing but not being willing to see how they are and improve themselves is beyond me I cant wait to move back to civilization (Jun 8, 2012 | post #90)
