Hartford Community Court Judge Charged With DUI

i'm going to play devil's advocate here (y'all can tell me to go to he!! when i'm done). the article fails to say if she failed a sobriety test and, if so, what her blood alcohol level was or if she refused to take a sobriety test. i seriously doubt she was 3 sheets to the wind. her husband is a judge in the hartford criminal court as well. if you are administered a breathalyzer test the moment you awaken (having not had any alcohol to drink the night before), you're level would read .02. unless we carry a hand held breathalyzer with us at all times, we won't know when we've reached .08. it's quite possible that 2nd glass of wine at dinner can put us at .08 and we wouldn't necessarily be hammered. all i'm saying here is let's not be so quick to judge the judge until all of the facts are in. it's interesting how the courant can paint such a one-sided picture.  (2 hrs ago | post #7)

Mayor Mike's Battle For Life And City

i don't think it's hypocritical to send good wishes to a wonderful man. FYI-diabetes can also lead to cirrhosis of the liver (not just alcohol and hep. c). all that aside, mike, along with being a fantastic mayor, is one of the most diplomatic, kind hearted, humble and sincerest people i have ever known. he will give you the shirt off his back, buy a homeless or down on their luck person a hot meal and never ever once ask for anything in return THAT is where the compassion is coming from. how many others out there can you say that about?  (Saturday Sep 20 | post #149)

Mayor Mike's Battle For Life And City

wow- so many thoughts and emotions co-mingling. i lived in hartford when mike was mayor and he truly cared about his city. he personally handled a delicate issue for me (during a hurricane no less) and was always there to help anyone who asked. it's so sad to see him now. he still has that sparkle in his eye, but it has dimmed somewhat. i hope he gets a transplant or whatever it takes to keep him on this earth for many years to come. if he were to run for mayor again, i would seriously consider moving back into hartford just to vote for him! prayers and well wishes  (Friday Sep 19 | post #35)

"Mayor Eddie A. Perez broke the law" Get used to seeing those words cuz this surely is just the beginning of the end to "the professor" 's reign. Seriously, he broke the law when he was thugging as a ghetto brother, he's gonna break (and has been breaking) the law since he's been groomed into political position. (I can't believe I can post here!!!!!)  (Sep 9, 2008 | post #63)

Second Arrest Made In Hartford Shooting

Job well done! It amazes me that these thugs have absolutely no remorse for what they've done and are going on with their lives while their victims (and victims' families) continue to suffer on a daily basis.  (Sep 5, 2008 | post #1)
