Bear Spotted In Hartford's North End
Seekhimfirst wrote: "Unfortunatel y, the Courant did not get a chance to talk to the youth...for if they did they would have learned from some young men who are planning to attend college next year." that was the point i was trying to make earlier. i know there are good things happening in hartford. why doesn't the courant write about those on a daily basis instead of re-publishing the police blotter and perpetuating the bad rep hartford has? Bear Spotted In Hartford's North End
the majority of the stories published about our state's capitol are regarding drugs, stabbings, shootings and crime in general (including it's wonderful ex- gang banging leader). maybe when the hartford courant consistently has something positive to write about the city o fartford, we'll lighten up. until then you are the one acting sofa king we todd it. 10-Year-Old Boy Charged With Arson In Hartford Fire
his mom was probably getting ready for her g.e.d./high school gradutation. he probably doesn't know who his father is and his 35 year old grandmother was busy helping his mom get ready for her big party. and THAT is probably why he got the sparklers in the first place. (Jun 17, 2009 | post #38)

and let's not forget john valvey - the prince of porn. back in the days when there was no such thing as political correctness and thin skinned people. that was a kick off place for a lot of groups just breaking onto the music scene. i still have my old scrapbook with ticket stubs and autographs from that place!!!! i saw so many shows there from thin lizzy to men without hats. i was there when wendy o blew up the caddy. not to mention all the times playing hacky sack waiting for max creek to take the stage. funny thing: never once was there a shooting or a murder there. yeah, there were fights among drunken fools, but that was it-never feared for my safety. so long to a lot of memories! Fatal Car Crash In Orange Involving Police Cruiser
sympathy and prayers to families and friends. (Jun 13, 2009 | post #30)
you should be proud of yourself and your son. you kept him from becoming a statistic because you did your job-you were his mother. you paid attention to what he was doing in school, in your neighborhood and with his friends. you taught him the value of hard work, respect for himself and respect for others. you played an active role in his life. too many parents (single or otherwise) are too consumed with their own lives to pay attention to what's going on in their own home. parent/teacher conferences for them are an inconvenience. most of them don't know who their kids hang out with, where they hang out or what they do. it's called moral decay. when you have babies raising babies and fathers being replaced by grandmothers that are in their late 30s or early 40s, we have a problem.
