I agree, MTV has gotten off way too easy on this one. They basically 'used' the sensationalism of a violent act against a woman to promote a misgonyst show on their channel. The outrage of Italians against the show was more important than how the women on this program are not only potrayed but actually treated. (Thursday Dec 17 | post #9)
Whites would still be the majority as far as the most of any race they just wouldn't be more than half the total population. Being labeled white however is such a generic and ambiguous term it makes the research questionable. Secondly, the trends of minority populations is too slow their rate of population growth as they become more assimilated and affluent. The guy is obviously a misogynist and hates women. I mean thats how it should be interpreted right? Its a prime example (both Bush and Palin) of how the media bias is evident in their reporting on political figures of the right vs the left. If the two (Bush/Palin) were on the left it would be seen as an asassination attempt and at this time the offenders would be skinhead, racists, terrorists that were overcome with anger. Its where the values of the religious, traditionalists within the black community tend to dovetail into the conservative ideals. Personally I think it is more a desire of the gay community to try and co-opt the Civil Rights movement analogy to try and garner support for their movement. There are some who are homo-phobic and 'anti-gay'. For the conspiracy theorists it's going to be a field day. How often do you see studies that tell you to take less precautions in order to identify terminal illnesses? Is this going to make the new health care guidelines Obamacare will impose go down easier?
